I could jusy imagine some rando touring the White House, and they stumble across him. They start out so excited. Go in sayin:

Oh wow! Look at that! It’s the president! It’s great to me you, President Pedophile. Oh. My mix up. I mean, President Insurrectionist. Oh fuck, slip of the tounge! I’m just so nervous. Ha-ha! President Trump! It’s a pleasure to meet the Rapist-in-Chief. Oh fuck. There it goes again.

While I agree with the sentiment, there’s always 1 person who says something really racist or something and does get into trouble, but usually gets a bunch of right wing support too.
Edit: Google search mentions several, including Ferguson police officer being extremely racist, a teacher also being racist calling Michelle a gorilla, a NY police officer got a mere 60 days for a slur and suggesting the president “go die in a shallow grave.”

The overall point stands that they did way worse than someone calling out the truth, but right wing defenders will definitely say it happened with Obama too.

Ah he’s only suspended and a union member. I heard that the suspension will likely be short (3 days was the figure someone in the same union said on the other site). I’m sure we’ll hear all about it if he is actually fired.

Mad props to him for seeing his opportunity, realising it was once in a lifetime and grabbing it with both hands.

He wasnt just a fuckin open Nazi, Hitler practically wrote him a goddamn Love Letter in Mein Kampf.

Ford also financially supported the Nazi Party in its early days

Also received the highest medal and honors that could be bestowed to a foreigner, from Nazi Germany.

Then, in 1942, when such things started reflecting badly on him, he suddenly went “oh no no no, Thats not me, I hope this whole business ends with world peace and love amongst everyone”

He is a national fuckin disgrace.

Ford is complying with dear leader while dear leader is actively fucking Ford by cutting trade with Canada.

I used to work in automotive manufacturing. The amount of parts to build cars cannot come from just America. It’s impossible.

Trump is beating the shit out of Ford and they’re just standing there asking for more.

        Parts yes. Cars no.

It is in Ford’s best interest to keep other forgien cars out of the US. If Americans were really free to shop forgien cars the US car companies would all go under.

Trump will keep out “bad forgien cars”

Tairiffs are just a cost they pass down to consumers when there are no other options for the consumer other than domestic cars built with tariffed parts.

They know what they are doing.

Silver lining though, cars will get more expensive, which might spur more public transit. Heh… at the very least it will make walkable places a little more desirable.

Oh cars will get more expensive, but you think America will lean towards public transit? Auto manufacturers will just bitch and moan about how they can’t sell their $145,000 entry level sedan, and the government will just bail them out with your tax money.

What, you don’t want to pay $1500 a month for a Ford Focus?

That is total bullshit they could build all the parts in the country, preposterous to claim otherwise. The president is a piece of shit, and will ruin ford, but the parts could easily all be made in america, and were all made in america, probably in living memory.

Now everyone is defending neo liberalism because the president co opted anger at so called free trade.

So where is America getting a lot of their foreign special metals? Last I checked a lot of particular components needed to build modern vehicles literally don’t exist in America.

If you wanted to build just a car from 1968, absolutely you could. But the technology in cars now-a-days comes from materials that literally do not exist in the continental USA. You need to import them. And Canada has a lot of it. So even the suggestion that you don’t need Canada is not only ignorant as hell but completely stupid.

It would not be hard to rebuild that technology with the wealth or nation has. It is a choice, and was intentionally made that way, and pretending otherwise is to take at face value the narrative the rich weave

But we could do all the raw materials in the United States as a matter of fact. Ford had a completely vertical operation and produced almost everything in the United States. But I do not know why I’m talking to somebody that called me stupid for challenging his falsehood.

First of all, 1950 is in living memory as I said. Second of all, I dispute that any significant percent was built outside the country before nafta, and I flat out reject that we couldn’t build them all here.

Just because the president co-opted union issues to win the election, planning on doing the exact opposite of what he promised, does not mean you should embrace the opposite and the neo liberal fair trade arguments whereby our labor and environmental standards are undercut by sending jobs to countries without those protections in a race to the bottom. Eliminating those jobs that led to selling their own products in a cycle of economic decline. Canada is not a problem in that regard, although they have an advantage it’s not unfair, because national health insurance.

While at work you are representing the company and have to act accordingly. Aside from any personal feelings about what he said, what he did is really unprofessional and could cause reputational damage to the company.

I agree with what he said but yelling that at work during a visit is just not a great idea.

They might be representing themself as well (personal reputation) but they are also representing their employer and their actions reflect on the company.

This is not like representing the company at a picnic or charity event. This is PR for the aspiring fascist dictator, who is leaving us with a legacy of a soon to be supreme leaders fixing elections and ruling in a reign of terror scapegoating others for problems. Also one that fucked children with epstein and let himself get caught on tape doing it so now a foreign intelligence agency (israel,) has proof that would ruin him making him at their disposal. Also a lifelong blackmailer himself, such an enigma, a child fucking blackmailing enigma.

Fuck the company and their stroking off the guy betraying the country that allowed ford to become great. They are fools to trust the party, and will be destroyed by them, because they and their ilk were trying to prevent a little reform to restore the glory of the republic to the post war years.

Oh yeah the president and his people are think skinned to say the least. They would have the guy executed if they could. The company would be looking at transparent penalties if they didn’t fire the guy.

They should reinstate him with his union though, idk how it works in auto, but other unions will get guys reinstated with back pay for being fired contrary to the contract.

I would not be surprised if they didn’t try and investigate the guy with federal prosecutors, but we are not quite there yet where those prosecutions would make it to trial.
