Ironic considering it hurt die-hard red voters more.
Ironic considering it hurt die-hard red voters more.
These past two months have been nothing but whiplash for me, and I see it isn’t ending any time soon.
We’ve always nominated celebrities into higher office. In the early years of the country, celebrities were just generals. Still well known, voted because they were likely well known, just not what we would consider “celebrities” today. The effectiveness of these candidates could easily be disputed. But people vote because the name is familiar and not because of their policies. I have a feeling with all the muckraking and “alternative facts” today, the louder name will continue to have more chances than they should otherwise.
“I might be rich one day”
Didn’t Arnie do a decent job, though? I didn’t live in California during his time in office, but it sounded mostly positive.
According to Pence, he seems to be for abortion, somehow.
But they only sent troo…ayy. I got it!
Only when it’s negatively reporting on obese oompa-loompa.
There are rules for us, not them.
My neighbor state of Idaho is actively trying to stop it by saying it’s “confusing”.
Hey now, that’s 100,000’s less people producing carbon emissions…yay?
It’s an Onion-like article, but it certainly rings true. Why would these people change their tune, their acts, THEMSELVES, if they’re shown that they can still “succeed” while acting this way? I remember Clinton getting a BJ from Monica being grounds for impeachment, but Trump is a felon, a rapist, a racist, Putin’s pocket pussy, and many other unflattering things, and over HALF of the voters this election looked at that and said “Yes. I DO want that representing me to the rest of the world”.
Not when you have money to mitigate or even remove problems. The 1% are a sheltered bunch. It’s like The Purge movies. The people that commoners would probably like to get to are the most protected by their money and what it can buy.
He does have a credibility problem, AND is a liar. His base doesn’t care. People idolize celebrities, musicians, even models. I feel like this is the first time I’ve seen people swoon this hard over a politician, and it blows other fandoms away in fealty and dedication.
You’re damn right it pisses me off. Over half the country voted to have a rapist, racist, felon, Russian asset as its face. For better or worse, Trump will become the default American for at least the next 4 years. I hate the thought of being associated with him in any way that makes a positive correlation. I’ve got co-workers and truckers coming into work praising this vile, atrocious excuse for a human being, not realizing they fucked themselves and the rest of us over. I’m more angry than I can accurately put into words. I really hope the people who were “on the fence” feel good about themselves. The first time was bad enough. This time, we knew the brown log wasn’t a tootsie roll. We knew it was shit, and over half the country willingly took another bite. I just hate how the rest of us now have to smell it again.
My wife and I tried to get Bernie in over Hillary, what was that, 8 years ago? An actual plan vs. “I’m not Trump”. This makes me upset that the wishes of the many were straight up ignored. I knew he was good then and we were failed.
Which “he” is doing the threatening?
They haven’t needed to hide since Trump first took office. The hoods were to conceal their identities. Now that they’ve got “friends” in high places showing them that their ideals are “ok”, the hoods are off.
You know, Republicans have long been the “thoughts and prayer” party. Are you saying that we have now become the COUNTRY of “thoughts and prayers”? Dammit all.
I get the feeling, but they probably want it to feel like that. Want us tired. Never stop trying.
