  • “if I’m at a point in which I think I’ve got nothing to lose, then why not take a wild risk to try to get to a better place?”

The problem I have with that is I know I can make things way worse rather than better by taking risks so I end up stuck where I am. I took a lesser risk a few years ago and thankfully only moved laterally, nothing really improved but at least I didn’t make it worse.

I just need a “fuck it” attitude, but that’s never been in my character. I’m more of a “worry about everything” person because “luck” is never on my side, I need to MAKE things happen or they never work out… If I don’t have control over it, it fails. I really envy people that just seem to float through life, having everything work out as they wanted lol

As far as the suicide goes, I’m basically “not allowed” to. I’m thankful that I have family that care about me and would be crushed if anything happened to me. Plus I know I’ll have to take care of my older brother when my parents are gone, so no matter how much I don’t want to be here, I have to be.

As far as the cosmos goes, I’m one that tends to believe what we have is all we have, there is no “again.”

  • This is pretty much it for every culture war bullshit flavor of the year. Republicans can’t win on policy because their REAL policies that they actually want are just “more money for ultra wealthy.” That’s it. That’s the whole Republican agenda, more money for the ultra wealthy by cutting taxes and cutting OUR entitlements so the country can afford to not tax the wealthy. More money for the wealthy by cutting regulations that PROTECT US. More money for the wealthy by allowing mergers, monopolies, etc…

They need people to vote for them so they find a topic to have their propaganda outlets focus on and suddenly it seems “organic” when in reality the people are being manipulated to all be mad at the same thing at the same time. it’s sad and hilarious that they also consider themselves “free thinkers.”

Or “a typical Tuesday at work” for me…

The labor laws are so insanely vague here in NY that it literally says “all factories must maintain a reasonable temperature and humidity.” They then never define what that is and my representatives won’t answer when asked what it is…

It gets over 90°F and 90% humidity frequently in here… Literal sweatshop lol

  • The problem is that people were NOT being treated equally and so we had to try to force institutions to accept people they’d otherwise discriminate against. This isn’t going to bring any equality, we’re going to go back to marginalized groups and historically discriminated groups being left out again and rich white people will be back “on top.”

I say this as a white guy with all the advantages society gives me so I’m not some rando asking for a leg up on anyone. It’s not about me.
