The SCOTUS already announced he could take citizenship away from ANYONE. Literally ANYONE, even people born here. The horrific part has already come to pass, my friend.

They’re already trying to build their own personal index of recognized citizens that the president has full control over.

        You didn’t read the article.

Trump is saying if he takes away Elon’s subsidies, Elon would be forced to pack up and go home.

Not that he would physically deport him.

        It’s a misleading title

If he will even just make threats to white, male, billionaire who publicly supported him and funded him, then hopefully its a wake up call to the other billionaires. May be then they can start paying the DNC and the R Supreme Court judges who like free holidays to actually do something about Trump.

I would be extremely surprised if Trump actually follows through with any of this, but Musk is more than capable of escalating the situation like last time to the point Trump has to follow through.

I was saying that Musk needs to be investigated, have his assets seized by the government and deported for months now and everyone has been upvoting it. So now its dark and psychotic because Trump is saying it?

        As a general rule:

When any person who has shown by actions in the past that they are reasonable thinking, kind and generally have the true greater good in mind, a statement carries along this assessment background.

The exact same statement words delivered by a person with a history of nasty, cruel, uneducated, evil and erratic behavior gives very same words, it carries a very different notion woth it.

Exact same words, very different annotations.

I don’t know you, so you can’t be placed, but trump can clearly be placed.

The context of who does a thing and how they’d be likely to do it matters; a surgeon cutting into someone with a scalpel can help heal them, but an untrained idiot with the same scalpel is likely to make the situation even worse than if the surgery hadn’t even been tried.

Though I don’t agree with the deportation bit, I view unwilling deportation as cruel, and taking his obscene pile of wealth away would also remove most of his ability to negatively effect society anyway (and if it didn’t, then him being physically in a different country probably wouldn’t help much either, or else would be pushing the problem onto them instead of solving it.)

I thought Musk was going to get more for his money before the inevitable breakup. But hey, we’re talking about two dipshit loser man-children. So I guess this is all on schedule.

You could just unsub from all the political communities and manually check the news once a day. I do this from time to time when it gets to be too much for me

I want politics in my feed, though, just specifically not these two doing nothing! I have no idea how a filter like that would even be implemented (other than people just not posting them, lol) but I mean mahgawd.

Like, I thought about trying to filter out certain bluster-y keywords like “threatens, blasts, tweets, on X” but there are a lot of situations where even a statement can have consequences. I wanna know when minorities get blamed for insane bullshit again, or when nuclear war gets threatened again, or when someone is calling for peace talks again. Tariffs getting delayed for the 80th time is still gonna affect how things are getting priced.

But this nonsense where Trump say Musk bad, Musk say Trump bad, while neither of them have taken any actions against each other? No funding cuts to Musk companies, no investigations, no arrests. No specific opposition candidates being funded (if this even happens it’ll still be a Republican), no DOGE backpedaling, no changes to Twitter, no re-banning Trump. just fucking god why who the fuck cares about any of the shit theyve said about each other over the last, what? 3 weeks???

And the point here is to flood the space. If everyone is talking about the gossip 100% of the time, nobody has spare cycles to pay attention to what’s actually happening.

An interesting application feature idea; filter profiles? Where filters, blocks, subscriptions, etc. are a set/group that can be toggled. You could make a separate account, I suppose. But there’s also some likely overhead to consider.

I’m hoping that Musk makes a deal with someone to expose election interference as a pardon or prevention from deportation

For federal crimes. Governors can pardon people for state charges. Elections are run by the individual state governments, so interference is generally a state-level crime. This is why Trump hasn’t pardoned himself for his own interference convictions, because the violations were of state law in New York.

This is why Trump hasn’t pardoned himself

If he remaind in power for the rest of his life, he doesn’t need to, that would look weak.

But if he still alive in 2029 January and was about to lose the presidency, he would probably attempt a self-pardon. Then its up to the 6-3 conservatives in the court to decide if that’s even valid.

So it’s 3-4 days until this “on again off again” is on again. They may be back together after the 4th of July weekend.
