Half Life 3: The Movie (straight to Netflix)

I very much enjoyed this video, but I wish it was 15 minutes shorter. He spends too time giving an emotional argument and by the time he starts giving facts and statistics, most people that need to hear this have probably left.
With that said, he summarizes my feelings on the topic perfectly, but with some added historical context.

It looked promising for a little while…

I think saying I would be shocked was too negative sounding. Honestly, I would be shocked and thrilled. Just a couple hours till we see the results.

in an effort to build state-level infrastructure and operations, the DNC announced Thursday.
Republican-controlled states will get an additional $5,000 a month, bringing their monthly total to $22,500. The GOP-controlled states will get that additional investment through the DNC’s Red State Fund.
That is amazing. I love that we’re no longer giving up on the red states. Democrats have pushed policies that have benefited red states while Republicans have been harming them. And they are still winning simply cause Dems weren’t trying.

Is there any sources on this? Sounds like the DNC chair is actually doing a good thing for once?

The fuck are you talking about? I am in TN and saw nonstop republican advertisements. Last time it felt this way was that McConnell challenge, maybe 2020.

OMG RTFM Hegseth!
Also, I say Hegseth and we all know Trump is right there, but he’s already thrown him under the bus by saying he never approved of a second strike.

Anecdotally, the anti democratic advertisements were nonstop over the past week. I saw a couple from the democrats. I would be shocked if the democrat even came closer

There is a distinction between what Hegseth did and what Obama did. Not a good one, but maybe it would result in action against Hegseth.
The purpose of Obama’s drone strikes was murder. So if they didn’t get the murder they were looking for, a second strike was necessary. I imagine they announced a terrorist was killed and everybody was happy.
The purpose of Hegseth’s murder was to destroy a drug boat. Once the boat was destroyed, any additional strike goes against the purpose of the mission.
Anyway, I have no confidence anything will come of this, but I am happy it is making waves. Maybe it will enter mainstream news and will force them to quit the strikes.

Yeah, 100% agree. Honestly, I’m glad that there’s movement at all on this.

Unjustifiably murdering everybody on the boat with one shot is just fine
I’ll preface my comment by saying I don’t believe shit the administration is saying.
With that said, the stated purpose of the attack is to stop a drug smuggling boat. Now, if you believe what they say, the first attack did exactly this. Any further attack is just for murder and coverups.
They’re allowed to destroy a drug smuggling boat. The are not allowed to murder and cover up.
To me, the only reason you murder the survivors is to ensure their true purpose (fisherman) doesn’t get exposed.
America is clearly never going to recover it’s reputation ^(citation needed)^ or influence after this administration.
America has been doing awful shit for much longer than Trump unfortunately.

It was a reaction paper. Give me your reaction to this article. It was not a research paper where you were expected to cite sources. This person’s reaction was inspired by the bible. They can be wrong, but doesn’t mean they didn’t follow the assignment.
Automatic 0 is insane. I have taken undergrad psychology courses in my day. Literally you get an A for effort. This professor was triggered and took it out on the student.
I wish the student had gone theory the appeal process before blowing it the fuck up. But it was obviously more important to get the attention than the grade.

My take, the whole thing is stupid. Everybody’s an asshole.
The instructions for the assignment said students were evaluated on three criteria: Does the paper show a clear tie-in to the assigned article? Does the paper present a thoughtful reaction or response to the article, rather than a summary? Is the paper clearly written?
She received 0 points. This wasn’t a graduate level psychology course. She was a junior. Honestly, the professor should be happy she wrote the paper herself instead of AI at that level. Based on the instructions (described in the link below), seemed like she did the assignment, but the professor just disagreed with her opinion and way overreacted. She got just as many points as if she didn’t even do the assignment. That is harsh.
Fulnecky emailed Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt, OU’s president, the dean of her college, members of the media and Walters’ conservative anti-teachers’ union group fewer than four hours after her instructor justified Fulnecky’s grade. Four days later, Fulnecky went through the university’s internal process to file a formal discrimination complaint and an academic appeal.
But also, her reaction was to email the fucking governor and everybody else on god’s green earth. They have a grade appeal process, but her entitled ass went straight to the governor crying about discrimination. Just because you and your professor disagree on the validity of fairytales doesn’t make you some sad little victim. I’m tired of Christian’s, of all people, whining about discrimination. Freedom of religion doesn’t mean you should be allowed to push your BS fairytale onto other people and get praised for it. Appeal your grade and STFU.
Here’s another article with more details:
Either way, it’s different than what Trump was saying he was going to do. All they were talking about was violent criminals, not people that were valuable members of the community. Now that’s all they’re getting is the valuable community members.
