While speaking on the final night of the GOP midterm convention, Vice President JD Vance said the country was “poorer” and “dirtier” before President Donald Trump was reelected for a second term.
“We were tired of being called racists for noticing that our country was becoming dirtier and poorer, and less safe and less prosperous,” Vance said on the final day of the two-day convention in Dallas, Texas.
His sentiment appeared to reflect the administration’s efforts to combat rising immigration rates in the U.S., a key campaign point during the 2024 election. Vance himself promoted unsubstantiated claims about Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, in September 2024, spreading misinformation about the community abducting and eating pets.
‘I only fuck white couches and sofas’
Translation: Republicans are tired of being called racist for being racist.
‘After’ and suddenly it becomes factually accurate.
Eat shit, couch fucker.
The origins of the pet eating accusation is some woman complaining her cat was missing and accusing their neighbour of eating it. The cat came back the very next day.
The cat came back It couldn’t stay away Meow kitty Meow so pretty Meow what a pity But the cat came back
Dunno if these are the exact lyrics but close enough…
<sarasm><slurs><content warning> “He’s right, of course. That dirty slut he married got through.”
Isn’t that sorta what you’re saying, JD?
They don’t even believe the stuff they preach. They manipulate the dumbest and laugh about it later.
Such precious little snowflakes.
This isn’t why they were called racists. They were called racists for claiming that Barack Obama wasn’t American, for trying to build a wall to keep out Central and South Americans, and for banning immigration from countries where most people are Muslim.
Do you think they’re arguing in good faith?
Let’s not forget “they’re eating the cats”
Yeah, that’s racist.
Racist doesn’t like being called a racist. What kind of rebrand are they asking for, nazimaxxing?
Gonna choke on that dog whistle slobbing it so hard
fucking actually wild to claim the country is getting dirtier when objective data shows the exact opposite. overall littering in America has dropped by more than 60% since the 1970s, with roadway and public trash dropping another 34% just in the last six years alone. American metro areas and highways are significantly cleaner today than they were a few decades ago. Municipal waste management, street sweeping, and public cleanup efforts have vastly improved at keeping actual trash off the ground.
All they can do is blame brown people for all of our problems. Like fuck, when was the last time a republican has talked about a coherent solution to a social or economical problem? people are dealing with actual fucking problems: high prices, housing costs, healthcare, wages, infrastructure, energy, and the cost of raising a family. And all the GOP cares about is Muslim and trans people
I just assumed he meant skin colour, not actually dirt/trash in the streets.
You know, the racist way to phrase it, which I simply assume this Republican is being in front of other Republicans(racists)
Yeah most likely he didn’t mean corporations are doing less polluting
And I’m tired of being called a woke blue haired sjw socialist get the fuck over it pussies.
It’s so still so bizarre to me that a social justice warrior is supposedly like a bad thing.
I’ve come to understand it as is used, but on its own I still expect people who are hearing it for the first time being like hey that sounds pretty awesome, someone who fights for social justice in this shit hole world
It’s not that surprising. Language has been doing it for ages, probably forever.
A “bleeding heart”, mocking someone who is too empathetic. A goody-two-shoes. Terms have always been made for people that “indulge” too much into something regardless of whether it’s the polar extremes of acquiring money or donating it.
If you’re just surprised at the name, then idk, shit’s gotta have some kinda name.
I said it’s bizarre to me.
You said it’s not that surprising.
Do you understand the difference in our 2 opinions?
Mine is a personal opinion, while you arrogantly tell me I’m wrong to express my personal experience.
Think about that for a second while you reread our 2 comments.
Your choice for words determines how people understand you.
I don’t see where I said you’re “wrong to express your personal experience.”
But you’re a literal stranger to me, and there’s no accounting for “taste”. Such is life.
You said “It’s not surprising.” As a statement of fact. As you wrote it, it offers no leeway for an argument or an opinion and that means you are saying I’m wrong.
The way I see it… in my mind… I don’t think…I think that… You didn’t say these any countless ways to allow for my opinion to be anything other than wrong.
You chose words that didn’t allow for any other opinions in direct response to me clearly stating an experience i am currently having and have held for decades.
That’s pretty rude. Unintentional or not, that’s what you did with your word choice, or lack there of.
This is text, you have the responsibility to clearly say what you mean. You chose not to
Well, do you have blue hair?
Yes, this is the important detail.
And pubes! don’t! count!
I’m tired of fielding this very frequent question, that I get often.
Just the ones on top of your head. And/or a tattoo of hair, if you’re follicularly-challenged.
If a few true words are all it takes to tire him out, he clearly doesn’t have the stamina for the presidency. Like his boss, Sleepy Don.
Racists.
Welp

“If I have to create stories so that the American media actually pays attention to the suffering of the American people, then that’s what I’m going to do.”
JD Vance on why it’s ok to lie about immigrants if it makes his base like him more. There is no comeuppance great enough for what they’re doing, and he knows it. A lot of the base may be too brainwashed, but he can see that he is ruining the country and he not only doesn’t care but is reveling in it.
I wonder if anyone today even remembers wondershowzen.
I started watching it last week even though I’m old enough to have seen it on TV.
Kids on the beat, kids on the street, Beat Kids
I didn’t. I would seem like something I might have enjoyed were I still watching MTV at that late date. Post 95 I only watched MTV’s interstitial programming on the weekends exclusively. 120 Minutes and AMP. And when those ended so did me watching MTV . The gif itself was all over somethingawful.com, 4Chan etc though.
I do. I got my nephews to watch it so as to pass it down. Great show.
