I’m on smoko, so leave me alone!

Nothing unusual, really. I typically put on classical music, but oft times am in a hurry and Kodi will sit and churn on a genre, so the quick pick is everything including podcasts. If a podcast is going upon our return, I ask them what they’ve learned.

I’m using Kodi to put on endless playlists. Mostly for our pets when we’re away. It’s nothing fancy, but works fine. “Party Mode” is their on the fly playlist. Once in a genre/artist, you tap left and a small menu shows it. Two clicks and it plays an endless medley of tunes.

Sure, but also fuck this noise:
the executive order would require the secretary of the Department of Homeland Security to compile a list of verified U.S. citizens in each state who are eligible to vote.
And The Orange King just voted by mail himself.

I believe that to be the thrust of the move; to supplant the already dehumanizing TSA with the more rigid, militant and ultra-dehumanizing ICE goons.

He keeps hitting new lows on surveys, but what does that ever amount to? Not very much. That and $5.30 will buy you a gallon of gas. Oops, since I typed “$5.30” it is now $5.50…
The zealots I know all still love their master.

It shouldn’t matter, but I would use ext4 for simplicity’s sake. I bring that concept up again because if you can make a process more simple, it is obviously easier to understand and you’ll then have time for the complexities that inevitably pop up. And they will.

Gotcha. I suppose I would grab everything and then selectively restore what I need. Having the backup also allows one to paw through it for settings or whatever you might’ve forgotten.

Will rsync not grab those?
Edit: I am saying rsync should grab all that by default.

I would choose the rsync–>backup /home to external disk then install Cachy fresh, then copy /home back.
It’s a known, clean and simple process. Why complicate things further?

Yes, I’m digging the disconnected part, so I am interested. I am looking deeper at self-hosted processes and if they can be provided in a way other than the internet, all the better. Any recommendations on hardware? Looking for base station and portable when I am comfortable knowledge-wise. Any site better than another to source it? Can’t/won’t do amazon.

Like…the old school BBS stuff? I thought there was texting and maybe email? Not sure as I am learning too. I’ve used BBSes in the past.

I tried making a “new film” filter to list higher rated films with sufficient votes. Then I created a normal “new” filter just to add titles to as a seperate test. One I linked with Trakt and the other I didn’t b/c I wasn’t sure at the time where I would scrape with radarr. And I also created a list from one in the community. Partly to see if I could point radarr to it (don’t think you can), and also I could just manually peruse and add titles myself. I am sure I’ve pointed to one of my lists, but am not in front of my server atm to check again.
I’m a tech guy, but every so often I run into some tech that is very foreign to my mind and it tough to latch onto. The mdblist site does that to me. Getting older too, so I am sure I am losing mental elasticity. Anyways, I thank you for replying and any help you might offer. Cheers!

I am struggling with this aspect. I have a list there (they call them “filters” and I struggled with that too, lol), but it (radarr) does not seem to detect the new titles I put in it my list. I am sooo close. The mdblist site is difficult for me to parse (UI and nomenclature) and I get frustrated whenever I try and fix it. So, I still just jot the title down on a scrap of paper and feel like a caveman. [shrug]

You just said why!

Make it a Top Ten Hunt. The list would be fluid as they either dispose of assets or get eliminated. Spoils go to the charity of those most in need.

Is it perhaps possible they’ve been negatively coerced or threatened? I feel like this might explain a fair amount of behavior of their ilk and we are dealing with the mob after all.

It was Tuberculosis they warned of.
Fuck CBS.
