“Standing up for American women who were raped at 14, trafficked and used by rich powerful men, should not result in me being called a traitor and threatened by the President of the United States, whom I fought for,” she said.

But the current President is one of those rich powerful men raping the trafficked. What did she expect would happen?

I don’t think even she is so stupid that she is just now realizing that the Republican Party is…full of Republicans.

“Do I have to stay until I’m assassinated like our friend Charlie Kirk. Will that be good enough for you then?” she wrote

Sounds like she’s just discovered the “find out” part of “fuck around” might possibly apply to her, so she’s out.

“I have been trying tell all you ‘men’ that our kitchen pantry is empty with spider webs, our house has been ransacked, the windows and doors are broken and busted, and the greedy rich bastards have twisted your minds into a sick state that you all continue in the two party toxic political system that acts like college football playoffs yet is burying you and your children and their children and their children in a pine box in a shallow grave,” Greene continued.

Hmm. There’s a degree to which it feels like she’s shoving canned goods from the pantry out of sight into her purse while she’s saying this, but I do agree with her basic point here. Especially the way parties are treated like football teams.

I can’t tell if her grift got bigger, or if she realized the people serving her kool-aid aren’t drinking it.

    Probably both.

In fairness, we would all do it this way. Would you stop a week short? Fuck no, I worked for that.

I don’t like her and I don’t like nearly everything she’s done, but this is the most honest way people in congress make their money. I’d be more angry about most of the other ways.

She’s also worth 21 million dollars now, when she entered congress she was worth less than half a million. Her stock trading game has rivaled Nancy Pelosi’s since she entered office. This should be the bigger scandal. It’s not because it bipartisan.

Honestly, —assuming there’s no fuckery here, which in fairness is a bold assumption— I kind of respect the resignation. She fucked us, got her bag, and fucked off. That’s far better than her becoming a fixture of Washington for the next 50 years.

I don’t know how Pelosi became this issues poster child, other than normal Republican boogie-man creators. She’s bad, don’t get me wrong, but far from the worst.

          Here’s a look at the top 10 for 2024:

          David Rouzer (R-N.C.), Representative, +149.0%
          Debbie Schultz (D-Fla.), Representative, +142.3%
          Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), Senator, +123.8%
          Roger Williams (R-Texas), Representative, +111.2%
          Morgan McGarvey (D-Ky.), Representative, +105.8%
          Larry Bucshon (R-Ind.), Representative, +98.6%
          Pete Sessions (R-Texas), Representative, +77.5%
          Susan Collins (R-Maine), Senator, +77.5%
          David Kustoff (R-Tenn.), Representative, +71.5%
          Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Representative, +70.9%

Even your tiny modicum of respect for her behavior is exactly what’s wrong with everything right now.

This acceptance of institutional raiding for the sake of individual material gain has completely eroded any sort of civic reprisal. These actions are inherently antisocial and yet we have people praising folks who “got their bag”.

          America deserves what it’s getting.

For anyone trying to figure out what the angle is, MTG is trying to become the face of the American TERF movement. She’s going to milk that for years (if it catches on). Expect a book about the horrors she endured as a brave woman in the Magasphere.

I don’t know if right-wing radical feminism in America is necessarily going to be trans-exclusive. Transmedicalist if it isn’t, for sure, but there are plenty of right wing grifters who also happen to be trans women.

The mainstream facist right already have transphobia cornered as a brand, so being trans-inclusive might be key to turning some discontent into a real political movement.

Honestly though there should be room for forgiveness. She was a very loud voice for a long time, unfortunately most of it was for hate. She seems to be calling attention to actual issues, and people who followed her are more likely to take notice of these current topics if she’s the one saying them vs some “outsider”.

Very obnoxious, toxic person historically; makes it more difficult to accept the help.

Dig a little deeper into her reasoning behind everything she’s complaining about, and you’ll lose that forgiveness, fast. She’s still blaming immigrants for all of America’s problems…she’s just also tacking some additional blame on businesses that exploit immigration policies for the cheap labor.

At the end of the day, her issues are more that Republicans are being disingenuous about truly wanting to get rid of all the brown folks.

Forgiveness can only be granted after an honest apology, acknowledgement of the harm caused, and an honest effort made to undo those harms.

Her acknowledging the harms that those surrounding her are causing is a step in the right direction, and a step towards forgiveness. But oooh boy does she still have a lot of aplogizing to do and acknowledging the harms that she herself has caused. Not to mention that her current plan isn’t to undo those harms but wipe her hands clean of it all.

Forgiveness is only on the table once she starts championing the causes of the black, hispanic and trans peoples she has victimized.

Fuuuuuuck no. I’m done with this turn the other cheek bullshit. These assholes rape everything around them, then when they get rich they are like “Can we like… just debate, bro?”

Anyone that wants forgiveness needs to first fully acknowledge their wrongdoing and then earnestly apologize. This “both sides” bullshit she’s spewing ain’t it.

They’re only rhetorical problems. When it comes to taking steps to address them, anyone affected needs to pull themselves up by their bootstraps.
