About 5 or 6 years ago I interviewed a girl who had been working on that tech, and it stunned me that the suspicions folks like me had were being verified by a software engineer that had worked on the feature. I want to say that looking back may naïveté seems quaint, but it’s still terrible and unbelievable that most companies spy on all their users’ communications and lifestyles at literally every opportunity.

I picked up some stranded skaters in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night because they flashed SOS with their headlights after I drove past them. They had been there for like 8 hours. I’m sure they would’ve rather had a flashlight to do the work for them.
But I agree that there should be another UI for getting to the emergency flashing. Like hold for 5 seconds or something unlikely to be used during normal operation.
I have a flashlight that has multiple flashy settings, but they are disabled after like 5 or 10 seconds of idle power on time. So the first click turns it on, and if you wait a while, the next click turns it off.

Most useful? Without a doubt, my laptop. The amount of things that can be done with a modern computer is pretty stunning, and a portable one is arguably more useful.
Other than that, maybe my car keys because the amount of things you can do with a car is stunning, but you need the keys to start it, and the car isn’t in this room.
They append the word “no” to the statement.
“How are you?” Is “you’re good, no?” But the word “no” does not have a rising tone.
Tonal languages are hard for non-tonal language speakers to pick up because of this. On the flip side, it can be tough for tonal language speakers to grasp the tonal inflections in English, and sometimes speak like robots before they understand how to use them.
Vietnamese doesn’t. The rising tone that you hear at the end of an English language question can change the literal meaning of a word in Vietnamese.

Anybody know a good TUI spreadsheet app that can import and export csv, or even just a TUI csv editor? I have been unable to find one.
