The NFL is getting pretty fucking gross. Just in the last few weeks they’ve put a felon rapist on the air, one of their ex-quarterbacks stabbed an old man, and a new player ran from the cops and then blew his brains out.

My Dad had season tickets for an NFL team for 25 years, and we went to a LOT of games together. Then the team suddenly moved, and it was heart-breaking. We got another team, but it wasn’t the same.
In the late-90s, I started my own company, and since I had to carve a lot of time out of my life, I gave up sports once and for all. I haven’t watched an entire game of any sport in over 25 years, and I haven’t missed it.
My only major sports indulgence today is the Olympics.

The CCP is guilty of some absolutely heinous things but high-level they do a lot of building and investing. It’s a lot of headline stuff but it’s better than what the US is doing. The US can’t even build public transit within most of its major cities and each state is constantly fighting with the other ones.
