A-10 loadout is so versatile, where it can perform it’s own SEAD, have ordnance for heavy targets, air-to-air, and take moderate fire in it’s own right. All the while buzzing the troops with the BRRRRTTTT for a morale and battle modifier. It’s a better close support vehicle than an F-16 with better fuel capacity to loiter about.
There is probably a ribbon for A-10 pilots that manage to go “Winchester”, AKA “out of munitions”, for any given run.
