Leadership couldn’t find their own feet of they weren’t attracted. They are excited about the money and power, not saying America. Dem leadership needs to be replaced before the mid terms. Otherwise, they’ll fumble this moment.

They are afraid going forward like this someone will oust their ‘two-party status quo on way too many things’?
They have to control the process as much as possible, can’t let any popular socialist into their Democratic party, they might tax them!

So they’re going to take a page out of Zohran’s book and listen to others who aren’t billionaires right? Right? T.T

      I mean…

The head of the DNC said he wants a candidate like Mamdani, both in personality and policy, as the next presidential candidate. And he said that almost immediately after the primary.

Like, Martin has always been about listening to the voters, he seems to agree with Mamdani’s principles, but it’s more that he knows most Dem voters do.

He’s not going to put a finger on the scale for anyone, so yeah…

In a fair fight why do you think we won’t see someone like Mamdani? Are you just underestimating how biased the DNC was for the last decade that an equal playing field doesn’t feel like enough?

I’ll believe it when I see it.

I’ll never forgive the DNC for forcing Hillary or Kamala. If we had competent leadership who picked the candidate people actually wanted we never would have ended up with trump.

Someone like Mamdani will be poised to win. But then the DNC will suddenly start pushing their candidate hard. They’ll decide that they need a candidate that can at last truly appeal to Republican voters, someone who has bipartisan political experience!

Say hello to 2028 Democratic presidential nominee David Duke!

The craziest part is that the GOP would still run advertisements against him calling him a communist socialist fascist far left radical that wants to trans everybody and give all our money and jobs to those lazy freeloading illegals that he paid to vote for him.

No, actually, the craziest part is that MAGA would believe them.

They’re gonna listen to the non-profits that are paid by the billionaires so it is just as corrupt but with an extra layer of obfuscation.

The best move is replacing Schumer as minority leader.

Dudes a wet blanket and everytime he opens his mouth he depresses Dem turnout, that’s how unlikable he is.

Find a young charismatic Senator, like, we’re an opposition party till midterms at least in the Senate. We don’t want someone who has buddies across the aisle and keeps talking about compromise.

Even if they’re not young and charismatic, at least have someone in that job who shows signs of being alive. When Schumer comes into a room, it feels like someone just left.

Schiff, Murphy and Booker would probably be the short list though, and are any of them really going to significantly change the tone? Eh.

Edit - probably not even Schiff, he’s only recently moved from the house, needs more tenure. My bad. Who would you look to replace?

Cool … get rid of Scumer. Vote of no confidence.

He should not have dealt with Republicans on anything.

They’re just Republican-Lite, so why would they think they had anything better to offer the idiots who went full MAGAt? They only have a chance now thanks to some of the MAGAts learning the hard way that they didn’t quite want to go that far.

It certainly isn’t because the Democratic leadership has stopped taking their left-wing supporters for granted. They know those voters don’t really have any credible alternatives (yet).

REALLY curious how legit the claims are but…

Yeah. The Democrats deciding it would be hard so why try sounds about right.

As it stands? It is the Democrats race to lose (if we have elections next year…). But on the off chance that trump et al re-open the government, give people our previous baseline of shitty healthcare, and repeal most of the tariffs? It will be a red landslide. Fortunately, that would involve an old rapist acknowledging he was wrong and…

Fuck… I now see an actual downside to fuckface dying. vance et al can pretend all the bad was him.
