Technically, Yoda, Obi-Wan, Anakin, and some of the other jedi have voice cameos in Rise of Skywalker. Personally, I wish Anakin’s ghost had more of a role in the sequel trilogy

phantom menance is completely pointless to the original story. just showing how anakin was found and metachlorians. it really is disconnected from all other parts of the story. that story ends with anakins death so rise of skywalker is a completely new story if its the movie I think it is.
I’m not sure which movie you think I’m talking about. Rise of Skywalker is part 9 of the saga, the conclusion of the sequel trilogy. The sequel trilogy is connected to the rest of the saga, it features Luke, Han, and Leia as old people. I’m not sure what you’re referring to saying the story ends with Anakin’s death. That happens in Return of the Jedi. Are you saying the story of Star Wars ends there and the sequel trilogy is a completely new story? Cause it isn’t, it’s a continuation of the story
no its the one Im thinking of. sure there are a few people from the other story but the other story was about the rise fall and redemption of anakin skywalker. aka vader. its basically a new story starting with 7 I think unless we are including some of the in betweens. the first story is two trilogies but again I will say the first movie story wise adds nothing to it really.
Also, you seem to think it’s a matter of fact that The Phantom Menace is irrelevant to the story. If you care so much about Anakin being the center of the story, how can you not think his childhood is relevant? It’s part of the story of why he turned to the dark side, because of how he was separated from his mother without being ready and how the jedi didn’t want him at first. You really telling me the story would be the same if it started with Attack of the Clones?
Anyway, my only point was that if you watch the first and last part of the saga without the 7 films in between, you would be a bit confused as to what happened in between. If you watch all 9 of them, they are all connected and all relevant to the story, you just wouldn’t know it from the first and last alone
because nothing happens in it that you would not know from the rest of the story and many things have no bearing at all. queen amdala is not queen after that movie. you know he is the chosen one jedi. it just does not add to the story in any significant way.
Isn’t that kind of a matter of opinion? The sequel trilogy is a continuation of the story, that’s why they have official numbers. The emperor returns as the main villain in Rise of Skywalker. By your reasoning we can say Star Wars is the story of destroying the death star and Empire Strikes Back is a whole new story with the same characters. You can make that case regarding any sequel. Officially, the sequel trilogy is part of the same story, it’s officially called the Skywalker Saga. Have you even watched the sequel trilogy? Cause it’s clearly a continuation of the same story. That’s generally what a sequel is.
oh certainly. I mean we can call everything in the univers part of the story. splinter of the minds eye. grand admiral thrawn. I mean ip thrives on that. its kinda silly though to me to keep on calling something the same story and extend and extending and extending it.
