I think there’s a degree of ego there. If the “leader of the free world” can be an obvious moron and non-subtly evil, what does that say about whether they got whatever fancy job they have on merit?

The worst part is that he needed them to help with Hormuz, but MAGAs are ALL sociopaths (especially Trump), so they can only think about what is immediately important to them. At that moment, he had the irressistable impulse to insult a person, knowing it would be funny to his friends, and that would make him look better to them, so he went ahead and insulted her and her nation, a really dumb insult at that, not even funny like he intended.

But they never think about what comes next, the next step, the consequences. There is just the immediate satisfaction of landing an insult, without any regard for the fact that they are a human being, and aren’t going to appreciate being insulted and more than he would. So MAGAs are totally shocked when there is an unpleasant response, like Iran firing back at bases and infrastructure all over the Middle East. Never saw that coming?

These MAGAmorons always think they’re the smartest person in the room, when they can’t even resist the most basic impulse for self-destruction, even for something they really need. The problem is that America is getting tangled up in their self-destruction.

It’s literally just the type of person. My father is the same way. He’s the same age as Donald Trump, comes from the same area of the world and has the same misogynistic high School waspy elitism BS. I’ve had to yell at my father because he’s insulted people not to their faces but they’re 3 ft away and he says something about them that they can completely hear. Out of politeness they don’t say anything back. My mother died and we kept her car and it was having some problems. Wo brought it to the dealership so they could diagnose it and the service technician behind the counter was gay. So the guy speaks and had the gay lisp and what does my father do but say under his breath “wow that guy’s a little lite in his loafers.” Now he didn’t say it low enough so I only heard it he said it low enough where everyone within 10 ft heard it including the service tech. My father thought nothing wrong of his insult and it was rather proud of himself. When he was up next in line the service technician looked at him and said oh no you’re the other guy’s customer and then walked away from him, the other guy had three more people before my father. I just died laughing and I said to him “see Dad that’s what you get for being a rude asshole.”

Your Old Man was fully aware that he was saying that so that his victim would hear it. He just said it a little softer, so he could later claim that he didn’t mean for the guy to hear it, as if that’s any better.

The nations of the world should get together, and go on an American strike in every way, industrial, political, etc. Just boycott America, no diplomacy, no trade, no negotiations, and absolutely no military support, etc. No world leaders take their calls, none visit the White House, ALL diplomatic meetings across the world are cancelled. Nobody should take a phone call from America.

Stop rewarding MAGA with attention. Just announce that MAGA is a rogue criminal enterprise of corrupt, violent traitors and pedophiles, and can’t be trusted for anything, so they’ll wait for a more stable, responsible, and cooperative government, before doing business with America again.

This is too funny. The insulting ignorance. The inability to - idk, think before you speak. I bet the people who try to coax him into saying the right thing are holding their heads, saying “he fucking did it again!” to each other.

But please, do go on. Speed up your demise. Maybe we won’t have to endure 6 years of war and 15 million victims.

They also have a $73 billion nuclear and gas collaboration to build next-generation small modular reactors and natural gas power plants.

This article seems to want to push the idea that Japan is distancing itself meaningfully. Japan is making deals with both Iran and US - Japanese media just announced Iran is allowing Japan access through the Strait. Make no mistake, the Takaichi government is a conservative government, with all that entails. And Japan is forever finding ways to bend around legal constraints without breaking rules outright.

They’re right wing, but between the Takaichi government and Trump, there’s hardly a comparison. Japan appears to be obeying their constitution. Japan also appears to be more inclined towards “soft power” which we should really just call “diplomatic power” rather than “war power”. Diplomatic power is penny-for-penny a more profitable investment.

I am aware, but still - Trump is treating US allies like this left and right. He thinks he’s invincible. It will work for him until one day it won’t, and then all his insults will gain a lot of weight. Rather sooner than later I hope.

Why should she keep her composure?

This is coming from the leader of the country that launched their own ‘surprise’ and killed over 250,000 of her people.

Nobody on this planet is going to help trump in this war.

It’s a war of aggression with no justification, didn’t they say they bombed the shit out of Iran’s nuclear program a few months back?

Iran is forcing trump to end the war in the cleanest way possible: making gas prices go up in US pumps.

Sure, the rest of the world is going to be suffering from this for years to come, but I can’t even blame Iran, they’re fighting for their lives.

I’m honestly not even sure what talk about the Epstein files is supposed to accomplish.

Everyone knows the truth. The relevant authorities have the unredacted copies and are straight up refusing to do anything. The administration and all agencies are doing blatantly illegal things every day, and no one is willing to arrest or stop them.

The victims (of all of this administration’s crimes, not just the Epstein victims) deserve justice, but I think, at least in America, justice isn’t coming from the legal system. It might come when player 2 joins the game.

Establishing how disgusting it is to defend, hide or support the bad actors in those files…that’s what it is for. Every person named in those files could go away and you are still left with thousands who protected them from consequences and millions who turned a blind eye. This is one of those “never forget” things.

As I said, he’s just flinging shit, it is dumb. But you have the same ideology on both sides, they’re very different cuts from the same cloth, so I don’t mind. There’s no real effect on common affairs, the connection between Japan declining to help and this isn’t there, no country is committing to any action in the strait.
