Japan also appears to be more inclined towards “soft power” which we should really just call “diplomatic power” rather than “war power”. Diplomatic power is penny-for-penny a more profitable investment.
I am aware, but still - Trump is treating US allies like this left and right. He thinks he’s invincible. It will work for him until one day it won’t, and then all his insults will gain a lot of weight. Rather sooner than later I hope.
