Most monologues and speeches from Andor:
- Nemik’s manifesto: Talks about liberation and authoritarianism.
- Kino’s speech: I interpreted it as a call for revolution against the ruling class.
- Mothma’s senate speech: Talks about how fascism rises with a loss of an objective reality (in the public consciousness).
Andor’s really a banger! Please consider watching it if you haven’t already.
Love the hypocrisy of Disney dropping this openly anti-authoritarian series while paying their millions in homage to trump.
The only terminal goal that corporations have is to make money. As much of it as possible.
Production of Andor was greenlit with the assumption that investing money in it would result in a positive ROI. Nothing more, nothing less. The same applies to them funding the fascist admin.
Colbert’s monologue on “Truthiness” that then led to Mark Carney’s speech on global order and middle powers. The next one will be about the Fall of the US Empire.
It was a slippery slope that some of us knew we were on…
The Matrix when Agent Smith is telling Morpheus that humanity is like a virus.
I hate this mindset. Humanity is definitely not a virus. There’s so many tribes and small farmers and fishermen who respect nature and live with it in harmony.
Assholes and the super wealthy are the viruses.
Oh and by the way, maybe every organism‘s cells nuclei are viruses (all multi cell organisms) - there’s evidence that the nucleus is a virus. So maybe we, as living beings, are viruses after all? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viral_eukaryogenesis
It’s more about rewarding sociopath with more power than sane people
Mostly the wealthy ones.
Nemik’s manifesto from Andor
Umm what? I think andor is a star trek thing. Sorry im dumb when it come to the stuff.
I’m jealous of you. You’re one of the lucky ten thousand today. Andor is a Star Wars property, but it’s an adult look at fascism and building a rebellion against it. One of the top ten series of the 2020’s really amazing writing.
Do yourself a favour and watch Andor - it’s not just great art, it’s also a call to arms for the current state of the world
I mean, you could have either looked it up or assumed that people talking about something know more about it than you when you don’t know anything about it.

I don’t want to set the woooorld ooooon fiiiire…
The Newsroom. - EPA
And while perhaps more contentious, and more like an honorable mention, not a winner.
The Newsroom - Greatest Country

Is 40 years ago really still “this era”?
So THAT’S where that’s from. I learned it from Duke Nukem.
this era is going to be a treasure trove of speeches to look back on.
