yea, my gut reaction was to wonder why they’re telegraphing it, but obviously it’s wiser to keep it as leverage

Can’t wait to see it blow up though

Seeing how unhinged Trump is and that he’s continued to escalate, I do think it’s more likely than not Iran will blow it up eventually.

But when you dig into the history of the US in the 20th and 21st centuries, you start to notice this isn’t just a “Trump” thing. Outside of WW1 and WW2 (though the US had spurious reasons for joining WW1), the US has been the bad guys in every other instance.

The US is the imperialist hegemon, Trump has just been more open about it.

Trump has also been more corrupt and stupid about it. He’s not being honest about it, he’s being flagrant about being a tool of the giant corporations.

Also more open about just drifting the fuck out of his followers. He sold them a $2 bill for $100. He also pump and dumped not one … but TWO crypto coins.

I don’t disagree, I just happen to find the theory that the US really only entered the war not because of high ideals but because if France and the UK lost, then the US would be left holding the bag as they defaulted on their loans, to be very plausible.

No it isn’t. These American tech companies made the mistake of taking contracts from the US military, and are legitimate targets.

Really? Civilian contractors are legitimate targets? How interesting.
I’m not saying murican Big Tech is innocent, but no, i don’t think they’re legitimate targets as per internationally perceived rules of engagement (yet).

Get real. Allied forces bombed factories all throughout WW2 and the US nuked civilian targets in Japan.

The idea that wars have laws and rules is hilarious, because US has broken all of them with no consequences in 80 years.

Even Obama drone striked entire villages, cowardice is what the US military does best.

They are literally using these data centers for target selection and surveillance. How is that not a war machine? By your logic nothing the US military uses is a legitimate target because they don’t actually own the tanks and planes and missiles, they contract that all out to Blackwater and Lockheed etc.

Their argument is that the big tech companies are allowing their AI to be used to help target Iran (which they obviously are). This would arguably make the data centers powering the AI a legitimate military target

You can argue that because it’s right.

The Allies bombed the shit out of Krups.

This is why you don’t start wars of choice, because it wastes your blood and treasure.

In this case there’s very few people inside and a whole lot of imperialist money tied up making a technology that people hate.

Iran understands the average American better than the Trump admin. Unfortunately the US government only listens to rural voters and people from Pennsylvania.

Not as bad, especially considering Iran is warning they’ll be targeting those facilities, giving cilivians ample time to bail out.

If this wasn’t so tragically real, it would be almost fun to see these grown ass super serious people on both sides sound like they are cutting a promo for a wrasslin’ match.

They don’t destroy and murder. No, they devastate, they bring back to the stone age, they utterly annihilate. Is this a performance? Or is the whole world now in the hands of complete idiots?
