A leading U.S. health official on Sunday urged people to get inoculated against the measles at a time of outbreaks across several states and as the United States is at risk of losing its measles elimination status.

“Take the vaccine, please,” said Dr. Mehmet Oz, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services administrator whose boss has raised suspicion about the safety and importance of vaccines. “We have a solution for our problem.”

Oz, a heart surgeon, defended some recently revised federal vaccine recommendations as well as past comments from President Donald Trump and the nation’s health chief, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., about the efficacy of vaccines. From Oz, there was a clear message on the measles.

I thought the vaccines had 5G chips in them, and turned our brains to mush!

…god we live in the dumbest timeline.

My MAGA ex husband told our son that the vaccine had HIV in it after he already got it. Luckily our son believes in science so he was able to figure out that his dad had just gone coo coo but it’s still a pretty scary thing to tell a child

Someone on facebook was telling us the vaccine gave him aids or something like that too. I did call him on that one and even the antii vaxxers piled on him, they were saying he was just fucking with everyone, thinking it’s funny. Those people really do get some people to agree with them like your ex I guess, even as they are just fucking with people for their lulz.

I think that was just the covid vaccine (as if it matters). Re-upped my 5G signal with a booster just this weekend! Feeling connected.

The dying is all fun and games for Republicans until their data tells them that now is not a good time for another pandemic shut down.

We had the flu of 1918 then covid 19. It will not take 100 years for the next big one. The medical industrial complex has not recovered from covid yet and people panicked voted Biden.

Yes, Republicans don’t want another problem to fuck up their propaganda.

Between gutting the NIH, CDC, and leaving WHO, Americans won’t see the next pandemic coming, and when it arrives, there will be no vaccine or drug.

NIH LITERALLY saved Trump’s life when he got COVID and he turned around and shut them down.

Imagine if the virus had a 10 percent death rate, it would be civilization ending given the attitudes of the ruling class that would protect themselves and sacrifice workers.

A problem they themselves keep causing.

The head of HHS, RFK Jr, famously killed a bunch of people in Samoa by lobbying against the measles vaccine. And Oz himself has anti-vaccine stances toward a number of other vaccines. Seems like consistent messaging may be helpful here.

The worst part is, RFK is cynically playing people, this is part of his personna, his public image, while he personally takes vaccines, his kids will have taken the vaccines. He’s playing everyone.

That is what I’m saying even though I didn’t know that detail. He’s just playing a part for his own benefit, he’s a nihlist in the same vein as our other leaders, they believe in nothing, only personal advancement. Money is the end itself, money is how you “win.”

Meanwhile the truly great see money as a means to an end. Ends being things they actually believe in for reasons other than personal aggrandizement.
