Spiderman is a much more interesting character than someone like Batman. An innocent ignorant kid that gets powers and thinks the only problem is petty crime and the random mutant villains. The character has room to develop and evolve in different adaptations.
Batman is basically what we’d have if Elon Musk decided to go around at night and beat the shit out of petty criminals for fun because the drugs alone just aren’t enough anymore to get him off. The entire concept of a billionaire trying to defeat crime that his very existence causes through inequality is just laughable at this point. Maybe there is a modern adaptation of this in which he becomes a class traitor. That would be the only interesting arch left for Batman at this point. Would be interested if anyone knows a Batman arch like that actually.
Also, Spiderman doesn’t have a beefy car. None, originally, and afaics they dropped the ad stunt in the movies.

It won’t be alright. The world watched as thousands upon thousands of children like that were slaughtered in Gaza. That was the testing ground that gave the rulers of our world the confidence to do it elsewhere.
From Sandy Hook to Gaza we all just said things that made us feel better but never enough to risk our own positions to change something. Like we were watching a movie were the words we said mattered.
