Children in the Gaza Strip are facing a lethal, hidden threat from the remnants of war, including unexploded ordnance and devices intentionally disguised as toys, according to Gaza’s Director General of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Muneer Alboursh.

Alboursh issued a powerful condemnation of the practice, stating that the deliberate placement of these devices poses an acute and ongoing danger to the youngest residents of the territory.

According to the Ministry of Health, items such as dolls, teddy bears, and colorful balls are being used to lure and injure children.

“When a child reaches for the ‘pretty toy,’ the horrific truth explodes in their face,” he wrote.

This reminds me of how Islamic terrorists trained in Pakistan were doing the same for decades… to India.

    Jews are finally catching up

The Russians also did it when they were pulling out of Afghanistan. I wish I believed in Hell, so that I could take some pleasure in knowing these people are going there.

I wonder what they claim the reason for this is. What just reason can they possibly claim? At some point the world needs to stand up and stop them.

Cruelty is the point. They want the Palestinians to leave “voluntarily”. Israel will torture them as much as they possible to do so.

Well luckily this is a fake propoganda article. That never happened.

Both sides are trying to make each other look as bad as possible. Happens in every conflict.

I believe it when I see reuters or AP on this.

You guys always get so mad instead of realizing things aren’t as simple as good vs evil.

Are you arguing that Israel didn’t booby-trap toys, or that they didn’t kill children?

Because you are right to question the integrity of the news source. I’ve personally never heard of royanews.tv… However, it is pretty well documented that Israel has been killing children.

Even if this story is false, the reality is still horrific. Whether or not Israel booby-traps toys doesn’t change the fact that they’re already killing children.

Here’s a quote from Wikipedia about the group that put out this article:

Roya TV is strongly anti-Zionist and, unlike the Jordanian government, does not recognize Israel as a real country. In written pieces, the network often puts Israel’s name in quotation marks, or refers to the entire country as “occupied Palestine”.

Unless there are alternate sources that verify the authenticity of this story, it should be assumed to be propaganda. They even do the quotation marks thing in this very headline.

How will they spin it this time? Last time with the pagers it was the most ingenious James Bond spy maneuver most of the western MSM had ever seen, while in reality it’s just terrorism.

Idek that they try to spin it anymore. Yeah, corporate media spun the pagers, but iirc Zionists were just like “we did this cool thing, like James Bond!”

I believe that Israel soldiers are perfectly capable of this atrocities, as they have shown in the past and also reported by several humanitary organisations. But we have to take this news with a grain of salt, since there is no other news that confirms it.

      https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20251103-israel-accused-of-planting-booby-trapped-toys-to-kill-children-in-gaza/

The Director General of Health Affairs in the Gaza Strip, Munir Al-Bursh, has revealed that Israeli forces left behind booby-trapped dolls and toys designed to attract children. He said this shows a new face of the ongoing genocide, despite the ceasefire that has been in place for more than three weeks.

In a post on Facebook on Sunday, Al-Bursh wrote: “Bombs in the form of dolls – the Israeli army did not only leave behind destroyed houses, but also left time bombs in the hands of children.”

He added: “In the narrow alleys and among the ruins of homes, the remains of rockets and unexploded shells are scattered, as if they continue their killing mission even after the soldiers have gone.” He confirmed that “every day, hospitals receive the torn bodies of small children, severed limbs, and faces disfigured due to childhood curiosity and innocence.”

Al-Bursh explained that “the most dangerous of all remnants of war are those that resemble the devil in the face of an angel – booby-trapped toys: dolls, birds, and small teddy bears left to tempt the little ones. When a child reaches for the ‘beautiful toy’, the horrifying truth explodes in their face – that the army claiming morality has planted death in the heart of childhood itself.”

He concluded, “The ‘doll’ has turned into a landmine, the ‘small teddy bear’ into a tool of amputation and disfigurement, and the ‘coloured ball’ into a trap that steals an entire childhood.”

Maybe someone who still uses facebook can check the Directer General’s facebook to confirm.

The source is the Gazan health ministry. They are so careful on what information they publish that they have been massively underreporting the death count of Israel’s atrocities. Very weird to put their data into question like this.

im reading 2 different stories here. one saying that toys were rigged deliberately, and another saying its unexploded bombs that kids have touched while digging through the rubble to find belongings. while this is fucking heartbreaking to hear these kids now have life changing injuries, both stories set very different stories, with one being very gruesome, if true.

The Gaza Health Office said it and they didn’t cite your claims, so it’s 100% confirmed and true.

If anyone wants to claim otherwise, Israel should let journalists into Gaza to prove otherwise.

Israel doesn’t get the luxury of banning journalists and then claiming that there is no way of asserting the truth.

Yeah its not super clear if the link you shared is in anyway a trustable source. People can just make posts and websites saying whatever they want. they included no links or anything to substantiate their claim. The website of the Palestinian Ministry of Health has no statement regarding booby traps but it is not updated regularly

After a lot of searching I have found the quotes from the health minister on what looks like his personal Facebook page, so I am happy (or sad) to believe the claims but its not good practice for the news sites to provide no source, especially in this day and age.

          They’re in Gaza.

This is like linking Xinhua to report on New York and saying they are more credible than the official New York city news.

Aren’t they barring journalists from entering Gaza, or has that changed? Because then I’d be very inclined to believe anything against the oppressors.
