At this point, its almost a negative sign of your true character if you haven’t been banned by Reddit yet.
I left with the API fiasco before I got banned. Should I log back in for a ban?
Just go on there a speak negatively about the pedophile and MAGA and you’ll be silenced in no time, at the guise of something entirely different.
Or post on public freakout and just wish death on a person who’s the asshole in the video
that was my first time leaving reddit. I left for just over a year, then I needed to find some local community for organizing so i came back, aaaand then i got banned for calling some racist a “white trash chud”
Holy crap. That’s all it takes now? It used to require a believable threat, if memory serves. They’re like this close to having FCC-style broadcast TV censorship.
Yep. I encountered some asshole saying Alex Pretti deserved to die because he was carrying a gun in the presence of law enforcement. I told him he wasn’t just licking boots, he was deep throating them. That was “harassment,” according to Reddit. And I was permabanned. I never got banned for anything my first 5 years or so on Reddit, but as soon as that fat orange fuck was elected, I started collecting temp bans every month. Makes you think…
sounds all too familiar. any thread I was in that was about trump or maga would get brigaded and every non-conformist commenter was temp banned.
Reminds me of the movie, Demolition Man. Republicans tried so hard to paint liberals and leftists as censorial authoritarians.
“Can I say that immigrants are poisoning the blood of America?”
“You betcha!”
“Can I say that people who worship unjust law enforcement are malicious sycophants?”
“No. That’s harassment.”
Sieg Heil, I guess?
This is a good point
