I’ve only ever seen it used once before.
Trump got into politics when there were a series of rapes in Central Park in New York City. The police, under pressure to find the culprits, coerced a group of young black men into false confessions, in which they described “wilding” where they ran around raping and killing white women. Trump took out full-page newspaper ads calling for them to be executed, and they spent many years in prison before eventually being exonerated when DNA analysis became possible.
So “wilding” is is a reference to wanton rape and attempted murder, and to Trump’s racist smearing of the innocent, and to the perfidy of police.

That was literally the Spanish-language campaign, where they emphasized going after criminals instead of making it clear that the Republican plan was to deport far more people than lack papers.

They’ll pray for you after murdering you.

Call your rep and senators and ask that ICE and the Border Patrol be prosecuted for levying war against the United States. Point out their armament, military-style uniforms, and propensity to shoot people.
I don’t expect success quickly, but it’s in the realm of possibility

If you’re a citizen, you show up. Fast. Short blasts means they’re present. Long ones mean they’re actively trying to grab somebody. So be prepared to follow with a bike or car until they leave the neighborhood on short.
The idea is to create a crowd substantially larger than the ICE snatch team. This tends to deter them from acting. You record them if you can.

The general strike on Friday spooked the billionaires — a general strike leading to communist revolution was a viable threat for a long time — and ICE might have made it one again.

Elections are run by the states. The President can’t cancel them. Republican-run states can cancel theirs…which means they get no representation in Congress.
If they disregard the election, which they are likely to try, then the United States is effectively dissolved

Open armed conflict is the last step in escalation. There is a lot of civil resistance backed by weapons to prevent massacres thet comes first

Also important to see the photo:

And understand the context — the Eighth Circuit appeals court had just lifted restrictions on using chemical agents against peaceful protesters
He recalled wondering if the agents were feeling emboldened after the appellate court ruling.
“It was almost as if they were making a statement by deploying this stuff,” Mr. Tsong-Taatarii, 55, said in an interview.

I don’t expect the Republican true believers to be swayed by this. But there is a huge chunk of the US population which doesn’t fall neatly into ideological buckets, and which can see why having a gestapo isn’t in their interest.

Yeah, ultimately it means changing the national media diet. That’s going to mean running left-of-center mass media and gaining control over social media feed ranking.

They’re Americans. The key thing is that relatively few people vote in primaries; on average about 20% of eligible voters, but in some places, as low as 3%. This means that turnout greatly impacts ideology, which in turn means that the money to run a turnout operation during the primaries makes a huge difference. So electing better Democrats means four things:

It is important to support better Democrats in the primaries. But right now, even the worst Democrat is better than the best Repiblican.

Minnesota residents are far better prepared to be outside in the cold than ICE

It means a lot more people will be out on the streets to stop ICE.

The problem Green and other representatives have is that they’re in the minority. This means they can’t do much more than make noise.

What they can potentially do is have the Senate shut down other parts of the government in protest.
ICE is already funded for years to come; it will take an affirmative vote to remove that money, and you can’t do that when in the minority.

I see a lot of Democrats openly talking about how mad they are. There’s a pretty extensive discussion about not voting for funding for ICE in Congress, and an active effort to get enough votes to impeach Kristi Noem.
There are also a bunch of Democrats calling for nonviolent resistance because they recognize that making the Insurrection Act invocation look ridiculous when it comes will be strategically useful.
A few are also just out of it — they’re depending on the New York Times to tell them what’s going on, and that doesn’t work.
I notice that they took the security requirements, and decided that it should be left up to the companies. That’s a recipe for creating a situation where fairly small groups of people are able to steal fissile material and try their hand at making nuclear weapons.
