But with a buttload of cops ready to make arrest and also spike trap, so it’s really just 3 stars for the rest of the world but 1 star for US.

Yep. Five stars is when you inconvenience a foreign country manufacturing weapons, in the UK, for use in their on going genocide.

Based on the title, I was expecting another cop car to come flying in to the suspect’s car out of nowhere at mach 3.

That was actually impressive. So smooth, so professional, no escalation.

It only work in a society where people arent expecting to get killed by the cops. In the US its reasonable to fear for your life during any arrest, so people tend to panic and run. In this case the potential danger of trying to run is just so much higher than getting arrested.

bro stopped instantly. Why did the cops think he was gonna run? I feel like this was just an excuse for that one cop to play with the spike strip

Having watched too many of those “police camera action” shows, I feel like I’m a professional police officer by now so I can give you some bullshit reasoning I just made up:

They probably thought he was gonna run because of previous experiences with the guy. They probably had intelligence that he drives down that road daily at the same time. They just planned accordingly. Often times they do stuff just in case.

Also, if you are just driving about and suddenly you see some dude throw something in front of you, you’ll stop. It might take a while to figure out what was thrown and by that time you are already surrounded and the first copper is pulling your door open.

All in all, pretty nice plan and action.

No signal before the spike strip? They must have been very worried about flight. Good de-escalation in that case.

The very calm arrest is either overkill or great police work, defusing flight risk enough that the suspect stops resisting. Must be annoying for officers that it’s hard to tell which from the outside.

I’m pretty sure the police gonna tackle someone running down the street but alas, he’s just there to deploy spike for the escaping Nissan driving at 20kmph.
