Hey nerd did you know that every bit of data liberals point to to say “capitalism works and uplifts people from poverty” includes China and if you exclude china suddenly there have been no gains against poverty worldwide for the last, like, 40 years. In fact, weird! Income and wealth inequality have just gotten worse and worse everywhere else! I wonder why that is
Again, the practice has been cracked down on, and was largely in bleeding edge tech companies. It isn’t the backbone of the Chinese economy, nor is it the norm.
I agree that it’s ridiculous to use social media comments as evidence. Chinese workers work on average 46 hours a week. This is a fact, and the median is lower as the sectors 996 was found in before the crackdown raised the average, largely in Beijing and Shanghai, and largely in the tech sector.

Just straight up lying at this point
996 is illegal, and was restricted mostly to large tech companies. Modern working hours in China are around 44-48 per week, varying year to year.
Its illegal, but not if they give the workers some extra money.

Plenty of people do, but i failed to find any polls or statistics.
Its ridiculous to use a social media comments section as evidence, but there’s nothing better, so here you go.
Would you consider bus driving as bleeding edge tech?
