The Department of Justice is considering settling Donald Trump’s lawsuit against the IRS, which could send taxpayer money directly to the president’s pockets, according to a new report. Trump sued the IRS and the Treasury Department for $10 billion in January, accusing the agencies of failing to prevent a leak of the president’s tax information during his first term. The DOJ is now holding internal discussions about potentially settling the case, and what that would look like, The New York Times reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter. One option that the DOJ and White House officials are weighing is the IRS potentially ending any audits of Trump, his family members or his businesses, according to The NYT.
No way!
“Considering”.
Hey America, your corruption’s showing.
The sane and intelligent one’s know it, warned about it, try to fight against it; however, there are an overwhelming amount of dumb people defending it and about a handful of people with more money than all of the country’s people combined also defending it… it’s a rigged battle.
He not only oversees the IRS now, he oversaw it during the leak. How can this possibly go forward?
But he’s NOT taking a Presidential Salary so it’s OK!
-Free Thinking Republicans!
Considers?
Haven’t they already done this several times before?
Anytime Trump wants more money, he just sues the government and then orders the DOJ to settle the lawsuit.
No. This case should have never even made it to a docket.
