The dems do have an advantage though. There are more republican seats up for re-election than democrat ones.
Not nearly every race, there are 22 R seats up for grabs and Dems currently have 45. They need every single seat. Some of those republican seats won by more than 20pts last election, also it’s not a guarantee that all dems vote for it.
