President Trump on Sunday threatened to not sign any bills into law until the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act is approved by the Senate, doubling down on his push to change voting requirements ahead of the midterm elections.

“I, as President, will not sign other Bills until this is passed, AND NOT THE WATERED DOWN VERSION – GO FOR THE GOLD: MUST SHOW VOTER I.D. & PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP: NO MAIL-IN BALLOTS EXCEPT FOR MILITARY – ILLNESS, DISABILITY…,” the president wrote in his Sunday morning Truth Social post.

If the president doesn’t sign a bill, it becomes law in 10 days. Sundays don’t count, and if congress adjourns during the period, it counts as a veto.

Voting by mail is so nice too. I voted in person in NJ a few years back and I ended up waiting for ~2 hours after work. Now I vote by mail and waste no time.

Yeah, the idea of being able to sit there, quietly, at your own house and fill out your form at your own leisure and research each proposal is great.

        research each proposal

There’s nothing stopping you from researching each proposal before going to vote at a polling place. The items on the ballot are not secret.

It’s very worrying to me how many times I have seen this.

I mean you CAN but it’s much nicer to do it from home with the ballot in front of you and really take your time. I don’t know why it’s concerning. I’ve done both, I prefer at home.

This conversation is about the advantages of mail-in ballots. Being able to research ballots ahead of time is not an advantage of mail-in ballots. In either case, you can have the ballot in front of you (either a sample ballot or a real ballot) and you are able take all the time you need to do your researching.

For someone to say that being able to research ballots ahead of time is an advantage of mail-in ballots suggests that there are people showing up polling places and realizing that they have no idea how they want to vote, resulting in them having to frantically research the issues and candidates on their phones at the polling booth or fill it out without being well informed. And that is worrying.

Last time there was a simple choice:

1)First woman president who is also representing various minority groups.

2)A pedophile criminal convicted and indicted in many occasions. Paid off Stormy Daniels to suck his little peepee. Possibly murdered a baby and several women who he abused as kids. Worse show on NBC where everyone hoped he would get fired. Disrespectful to everyone, specially women.

OK sure, which is why I voted for Harris. Now why are you telling me this? It seems to have nothing to do with mail-in ballots.

Yeah, and with mail-in I can take my time and do all of it at home. No need to try to memorize which way to vote on what or take some crib sheet with me.

          It’s a delight.

Especially when the questions are written in a way to make your second-guess your choice.
