1 you missed the point 2 a small fraction of people in China absolutely eat dogs. A country with a population the size of China’s means a small fraction is still a massive amount of animals. Around 10 million dogs a year and they were classified as livestock not companion animals until 2020. Stating that isn’t racist its factual. The Yulin Dog Meat Festival happens every year to this day and will happen in 2026. I have no idea where you’re getting the idea it hasn’t happened since the 1300s.

I used to be very close with a Vietnamese man who talked me through a fair bit of his experience with dog meat prior to coming to the USA (among a ton of other shit). He was a mentor to me while I was finishing my degree. I’m not operating soley on google searches. It just objectively is a thing in a some places.
