Enjoin a verb related to the term injunction. To enjoin means to prohibit a person from doing something through a court order. A court enjoins conduct when it issues an injunction against it.
I’m going to say it: Enjoin is a dumb word
to direct or impose by authoritative order or with urgent admonition
So… something Trump will ignore.
Like so many of these other “voter fraud” orders, the goal is never to secure and validate the ballots themselves.
It is always to create increasingly Kafka-esque rules around casting a ballot, then selectively enforcing the rules against the most politically vulnerable. Mix in hysterical mass media intended to claim any vote total is an undercount of your true popularity, and you get cycle after cycle of degraded faith in elections as a legitimate mechanism for choosing leadership.
I can’t wait for the Supreme Court to reverse this in a shadow docket decision.
