General advice is unless you are willing to face serious charges, only use products that are intended to be temporary. That, plus a good lawyer should protect you from claims that you were attempting to destroy felony level $ amounts of property.

As someone in education i would bet money that since it is a vocabulary word with a simple definition in a subject that is hard to teach, it is included to make things easier on the teachers and students. Mind you easier isnt often a good thing, and in this case I’d say its lazy and irresponsible to focus on things that don’t scaffold well or have much practical use

Real world means real people. Real people includes tons of people who have made mistakes and have regrets. You guys are the political equivalent of 19 year olds who are certain they are right and don’t know what its like to either make a big mistake or have family make mistakes and try and move past it.

Should we just execute all current and former trump supporters in the street? They aren’t just going to dissappear if trump leaves office. We need a pathway to citizenship for immigrants, and a pathway to redemption for idiots.

I wouldn’t call Inheritance a wealth transfer, that term is pretty much only used for compelled forced transfers (taxes, increased prices for tariffs, etc).

Hey let’s not be pessimistic. Based on the current societal trajectory we might be living in the best period of history, end of the 20th, beginning of the 21st centuries. We had an amazing life with access to awesome technology for personal use that we didn’t have to lease. We weren’t under 247 surveillance by corporations. A brief period of technological freedom for a smallish group of humans before we went to corporations authoritarian hell.

The first Obama term i felt like ok fine change is hard and people are making it hard, give it more time.

By the middle of Obamas second term I was mad. Nothing really changed and it didn’t feel like he and the dems were fighting to make the changes. In hindsight im not sure exactly what changes I expected or what specifics they campaigned on. I think they sold a feeling more than specific actions. Hard to remember.

Did he check the boxes on the ballot?

If you can find a way to bring in a neutral 3rd party to be the one suggesting things it should make it feel to them less like their kid telling them what to do.

You could try blaming AI and have AI suggest they do XYZ.

I know people hate AI but it makes a great mediator because usually people consider it a neutral party

Edit: not the same, but for younger people who might want to head off this situation, I used to teach financial literacy and made an assignment to watch this 5 minute video with their parents and ask them what their thoughts were about it. It was well received overall and primes your parents to think about how their financial decisions in old age will also effect their children.
