If we go to war I’ll be very surprised if they’ll announce it ahead of time. I think it’s far more likely that we’ll just wake up one day and already be at war.
I’m pretty positive that we have been at constant war sends the early 90s during the first Iraq conflict. I can’t remember if there’s a point at any time in the last 30 35 years that we haven’t had soldiers fighting on some foreign land.
Technically the US has been in a near constant state of war since it’s founding if you include the various Indian wars, and I’m not talking about just the big ones like with Little Bighorn I’m including the small guerilla wars that basically devolved into banditry. I think there were a handful of small gaps but usually those only lasted a year or two.
Best thing to happen to Britain. America is so backward we’d never have got the NHS, capital punishment aboliition, the welfare state, and there would be sooo many deists. I cannot comprehend an election process that allows religious leaders a voice.
Figured it wasn’t gonna be that specifically when he announced the speech by saying “the best is yet to come”. Even the warhawkiest war hawks wouldn’t refer to war as “good times ahead”; they generally go with ‘unavoidable’ or ‘necessary’ or some ‘I am very badass’ murica type shit. That being said, I was pretty concerned he was going to announce a whole array of new and interesting human rights violations.
Him jerking himself off for 20 minutes like we got was honestly kind of the best case scenario.
Well, second best anyway. Him having the other kind of stroke live on air would have been the actual best case.
So, the book above is about a woman with a rare autoimmune disease.
She gets admitted to a fancy private hospital with a Big Pharm company footing the bill. They want to use her in a dangerous experimental process that will basically destroy her immune system in order to rebuild it.
At one point, they have to seal her away from the world because she has no way of dealing with any infection.
I’m just glad he didn’t declare war

We’ve always been at war.

“We’ve always been at war against Eurasia.”
“We’ve always been at war with ourselves.”

Never shoulda given them independance

He declared war on the US, but we all know Venezuela is next.

They tell her that this is ‘progress.’
