    The reason hotel maids and bartenders will be hurt is because the CEO’s made leveraged bets and are losing their asses. That’s not the fault of consumers who choose not to spend, that’s the fault of the wealthy.

    Or let me put it another way: I don’t owe those workers to make their boss rich so he pisses a little of that wealth onto them. I would much rather provide a social safety net to help them out when their boss loses money being a prick.

        Well I’m sure as fuck not going to feel morally obligated to provide the wealthy even more profit in either case, so that’s actually moot. But if we’re going to worry about the plight of the common man, let’s go about it the right way.
