I’ve been marathoning the Star Wars movies, since it’s May. They hit differently given current events. I’ve been thinking about how Trump is comparable to the emperor but also comparable to Jabba the Hutt. He’s a crime boss. The Untied States is currently run by a crime syndicate. But other factions not only allow it, they kiss up to him because he’s so powerful
In regards to this Administration and their handlers I think the term corporate gangsters would be more apropro no?

He’s setting up for the midterms. The goal is to declare a state of emergency in November and these guys are 10000% part of the plan.
He’s only doing it because other people told him it’s a good idea, but this is part of a couple dozen moves to solidify power in Nov by controlling, and if needed, invalidating, the elections.
Not that laws even matter much anymore for Repugnantcons, but we do have some good ones on the books for dealing with acts of treason. If Biden had respected those laws given his mandate upon election, things would have been different.
America keeps letting traitors off the hook, and paying for it dearly.
