    If you are 50+ years old and have insurance, get the damn Shingles vaccine. If you need to be convinced, talk to anyone that has had Shingles. If instead you like spending 3-5 weeks in agonizing pain possibly with nerve damage or loss of eyesight, go ahead an skip the Shingles vaccine.

      Get your vaccine! My grandma had shingles. She said it was by far the worst pain she ever felt (yes, even worse than childbirth). And it lasts a long time.

      I’d say get it in your 20s. Pay out of pocket if you have to.

      I got it in my 30s and got permanent nerve damage. Fuck shingles

      Just learned there’s such a thing as ‘internal’ shingles, where it does its thing closer to the nerves. Fuck

      Just the rash was bad enough when I had it. It’s not something you forget, the sensation of one side of your body constantly being zapped as though by electricity
