This is why most reactionaries desperately cling to the idea that what they’re experiencing is secretly socialism. They literally do the joke “socialism is when bad thing happens” to circle the square.

Under socialism, you will live next to a first generation immigrant from a country full of brown people, you will eat their food, experience their culture, and work side by side in pursuit of a better life.

And you will like it.

And those that haven’t, have been thrown onto the shoulders of the global south for them to suffer and be robbed. Capitalism has never worked.
