This is a live thread, I bet the title changes later. But this is what it reads now:

Iran live updates: Trump says Iran ‘can be taken out in one night’

“The entire country can be taken out in one night, and that night might be tomorrow night,” he said of Iran during a briefing at the White House.

What a Stable genius

Trump is desperate, and is spewing all kinds of bullshit. Remember trump believes prosperity gospel, he literally thinks he can bend reality with his will. But of course when his lawyers or other people that work for him can’t, it doesn’t work. They do the work, and Trump believes it was him that did it.

Trump is actively destroying USA, and 83% of the people that voted for him, still support him.

    https://edition.cnn.com/2026/04/04/politics/voter-regret-trump-2024

“very confident” in their vote. But today, that number has declined to 62%.
21% of Trump voters said they were still “confident” in their votes

Meaning that a frigging 83% of the people that voted for Trump, still support the shit he is doing!

So far as I know, there is no reason to think that Trump believes in the prosperity gospel. He wants the people who do to follow him, but I would be surprised if he believes in anything at all (including religion, philosophy, physics, and other human beings).

Actually, this one has some facts behind it. To the extent that Trump has any faith, it was shaped by Norman Vincent Peale, as the Trump family attended his church in Manhattan. Peale’s theology isn’t quite as “fuck poor people” as Prosperity Theology, but is just as narcissistic.

That’s a fair point. The prosperity gospel came along well after Peale’s time, but he probably would have liked it. He was another sociopath in the same mold.

Agreed. It’s not prosperity gospel. It’s the fact he’s never personally suffered the negative consequences of his actions. Someone has always been in his employ to fix it for him or he’s victimized someone by not paying them.

He waves his magic wand and things go his way, problems aren’t his problem.

Even deeper than that, he has narcissistic personality disorder and literally cannot tolerate ever being wrong or being viewed as weak. He’s also almost completely incapable of empathy and reduces the world around him to how everything and everyone can serve him personally

Maybe prosperity gospel is the wrong word, but he does believe that he can bend reality with force of will.
Not the part that requires to give anything. But the part that his belief somehow comes magically true.

You have to understand, his supporters live in an alternate reality. They think up is down. This is a long standing problem, fox news’ bullshit. We are fucked, because enough of the population believes the worst people.

But don’t leave yet, you are in for some drubbing here. supporting the democrats pretending like they don’t suck., None of this would have worked without that.
