Had my Gitlab account accidentally blocked. Sent an email to support who admitted mistake and reinstated my account 24 hours later.

Facebook on the other hand…

…Not a dogs chance.

It feels like people admitting their mistakes is a rarity these days. Good on Gitlab!

Daily and I hate it. My company has many brands that rely on the platform as a source of revenue. I’ve been in charge of incorporating their API into our publishing flow. Their documentation, support, and platform is a shit show.

sounds like a company built on a house of cards; does it concern you that it’s paired so tightly with facebook?

Oh, brother you don’t know the half of it. I am radio. We’ve been holding ourselves together with twine and gum since I entered the industry.

Their API documentation being a shit show is an understatement. Nothing is consistent, or complete in the documentation. The forums are a better way to determine what is and isn’t available based on people poking and prodding to actually figure out how the API works.

      Networking effect.

But if this is what is going to encourage people to use better alternatives then so be it.

My account got perm disabled on Facebook, no reason, no way to appeal as it’s just a redirect loop. I don’t really care except for all the old school friends I have no way to contact anymore…
