Wow, I thought the non-stop cargo delivery from China to Iran for months before the war were all advanced defense equiments, now I see they were thoughts and prayers.

It’s highly likely that the PRC is supplying intel to Iran, given their effectiveness in the war thus-far. The PRC isn’t going to put boots on the ground in Iran and risk World War III, the PRC benefits from the US Empire’s self-driven destruction.

realistically speaking we’re in the first 2 days of bombardment of a country as big as “central europe” surrounded by mountains that put the swiss alps to shame. they don’t need military support. imo this either ends in a limp show of force or a forever war

Indeed, isn’t China the source of Iran’s missiles and drones? So I’m pretty sure they’re helping how they can without getting directly involved.

Not only that, they have historically refused deals to purchase military equipment, and have always preferred purchasing technology so they can make it themselves.

Yes, that’s correct, they are buying from China as well. Just wanted to point out that they aren’t entirely dependent on China for production, which would limit them as the war goes on.

All good, I probably should have said China is ‘a’ source of missiles and drones for Iran, but doing that now would render this whole thread redundant and people have to see what real leftist infighting looks like 😜

That’s a shame. I wish there were options for semi-blocking (seeing comment exists but auto-spoilering it or something) and hiding comments and such, things that would let people address people/comments at their pace without blanket blocks. Trying to build a custom frontend in my free time but it’s tricky and free time isn’t always easy to come by.

Iran sells oil to China. China sells components to Iran. But China isn’t intercepting any missiles or helping militarily.

Meanwhile even Europe is intercepting Irian drones for Israel.

I think that’s the only way for this to go in some cases. I’m fairly certain this war marks the end of US hegemony, as there’s no way the US can address all this and its domestic issues simultaneously, and I suspect those domestic issues are rapidly ramping up due to the economic strain caused by the war.

It’s certainly going to have an impact, I’m trying to temper my expectations but this could very well be catastrophic for the US Empire and a massive miscalculation.

The top brass of the Iranian military getting wiped out in a single strike suggests China is not doing a very good job at that.

Chinese satalite footage is useful, but besides that the war is basically all Iran solo with their own missiles and drones.

What do you expect China to do? Enter the war? Iranian attacks wouldn’t be this effective without China, and China helped them get rid of Mossad operatives.

Better anti air defenses would have been cool. Or those hypersonic anti ship missiles.

There was a lot of talk of Chinese weapons systems but all we’re seeing is Shaheds and Iranian domestic missiles.

Meanwhile NATO is sending troops and weapons from every country including the European ones. And they even participate in intercepting Iranian missiles. Looks like Capitalist international solidarity is far superior.

The issue with their anti air defenses is that radars can be destroyed, and they were, so they can’t intercept the attacks easily anymore. Iran understood this and that’s why it prepared for an evacuation from the beginning. I’m unaware of radars being able to be underground and effective, considering the US radars were also very exposed (and subsequently bombed by Iran). If you know of tech that China could have deployed there for this specific use case then I’d love to learn more, I’m not a military expert by any means.

There was a lot of talk of Chinese weapons systems but all we’re seeing is Shaheds and Iranian domestic missiles.

Iran said they’re first using their older missiles, give them time and they’ll use the ones from China.

Capitalists won’t be held accountable while they’re the hegemon or vassals to the hegemon. I don’t wanna be overly optimistic, but that might change soon enough if they keep making irrational decisions like the current war against Iran.
