Anyone can be a candidate. They just want one that will fall in line. We need more “citizen” politicians. You don’t need to know anything legal or be smart at all. All you need to be is concerned for people’s lives and safety. The political sphere is no more and has been taken over by unified control. That’s because there are no more “sectors.” The private sector has bled into politics which has bled into religion. You have a reality show host businessman who has become president and is worshipped by christians.
At the end of qualifying Friday, three Democrats had entered the U.S. Senate race, and a total of 12 filed to run in the four districts that Republicans currently represent. None came forward with the organized campaign apparatus or financial backing needed to make a serious bid for Congress.
I gotta say, it certainly doesn’t help that one of the only Democrats who has been expressing interest for several months has received so little media attention:
I can’t even read about this other article from back in December because of a paywall. I had no idea he was even running or that the deadline was approaching to qualify.
Whatever, if you have so many Republicans running and turning against each other it increases the chances they will inadvertently shoot themselves in the foot and split the Republican vote enough that a Democrat actually stands a chance of people get off their asses right now and start spreading awareness about the primaries on May 16th
