Edit: come to think of it, the Democrats doing nothing is unsurprising. It’s been pretty obvious for a long time now that both parties are captured by oligarchs, and now that the Republicans are aggressively serving the interests of oligarchs, the Democrat flavor of those oligarchs are probably on board.
