Donald Trump said Friday his administration will take action on Greenland “whether they like it or not,” further escalating his rhetoric as he pushes to acquire the Danish territory for the U.S.
The comments came during a meeting with oil executives to discuss the prospect of doing business in Venezuela. Less than a week earlier, the U.S. military invaded the oil-rich South American nation and captured its leader, Nicolás Maduro.
Denmark and its European allies in NATO – the military alliance co-founded by the U.S. – have pushed back, reiterating that Greenland is not for sale. But the Trump administration nevertheless says it is currently weighing a range of options on Greenland, including utilizing the U.S. military or cutting a deal to purchase it from Denmark.

By whom though?
I can’t see Australia joining in a fight against USA when China is an ever present issue and they’re our only hope if China decides they’d rather have Australia.
Similarly, I can’t see UK actually joining a military action against USA.
I can’t see South America going to bat for European insterests, even if it’s against USA, similar for Africa.
Middle East will watch laughing.
Which really leaves mainland Europe, which will probably splinter along the lines of whether Germany or France gets to be the leader of the Coalition.
Well difficult to answer, an invasion of Denmark (pretty much what this would be) would change a lot and wouldn’t be the end of it. My money would be on Germany and France too, with UK being a deciding factor.
You did forget the newly militarized Japan in your analysis but yes that sphere would be too concerned with their own stuff.
Mainland Europe stood aside as Putin invaded their backyard. This inaction was not lost on the American fascists. See where we’re at today?
(And I am not excusing America’s lack of action, but FFS, we can’t do it ALL. And certainly can’t now…)
