Bias isn’t a character flaw you can opt out of, it is the inevitable result of having a subjective point of view. Unless you possess total, universal information (which you don’t), your entire worldview is built on the limited data you’ve consumed, the specific environment you inhabit, and the people you interact with.
You are filtering reality through a unique lens just like the rest of us. Pretending you aren’t doesn’t make you “objective”, it just makes you the most unreliable narrator in the room because you’re too blind to see your own blind spots.
