Full update:

The government shutdown will extend into next week, as the Senate leaves town for the weekend yet again without a deal to reopen the government.

Their next votes are expected on Monday, which will be day 27 of the shutdown.

Food benefits end on Oct 31. I assume that’s when the real pressure will begin. Democrats will probably cave at that point because they have a heart. I hope they don’t but historically they haven’t had a spine

I’m starting to think that this all by design … because even when the government was “functioning”, it wasn’t functioning

Please someone call the general strike to start! If it gets kicked off and gets into the news cycle more people will join. We can’t just sit around and hope enough people join the strike cards. It’s not even being advertised to get more people signed up.

“Extend into next week” seems overly optimistic. We’re only a few more days away from “extends into next month” and frankly I won’t be surprised to hear “extends into next year” two months later. There is no end in sight.

    What is must be endured.
