Liberals and the GOP are going to spend huge amounts of money to defeat him.

It’s not burned money. It’s an investment. If the investment doesn’t pay off it no big deal. If it pays off the ROI is amazing.

      Ftfy.

Money doesn’t win elections, people do. We see it over, and over, and over again. And even so, Mandami is probably positioned to be one of the number one fundraisers in the country with all the earned media they’ve generated.

There is a real way they can beat Mandami, which would be to have him kidnapped by ICE. So.

Money doesn’t win elections, people do.

This assumes that elections aren’t tampered with, which is factually false in the US now.

Propaganda wins elections. The less educated the population is, the more likely they are to fall for propaganda and media manipulation. America has a lot of uneducated voters.

America does but NYC is a fairly different electorate. I canvassed for Mamdani and many voters were exposed to anti-Mamdani propaganda and voted for him anyways. The cost of living in NYC is a far larger threat than narratives they come up with.

And the best thing is they are voting for lawmakers who want to defund education further! Truly making America great

Case in point: Musk tried to flood Wisconsin elections with money last spring. It didn’t work. Also, Harris had more money on her side than Trump in 2024.

We’re so used to Presidential elections going to whomever spends the most that we forget that money isn’t votes. You’re not going to be able to spend your way out of a candidacy that the electorate hates. Cumo is such a tarnished candidate that he’s lucky he’s doing as well as he is.

The DNC has been captured by neoliberals and AIPAC money. It will fight Mamdami because their masters will tell them to fight Mamdami.

OP means “liberal” derogatorily, as in “American center-left” (which is, globally, pretty far to the right) and, critically, to the right of leftists. Historically, liberals side with Republicans more often than not in all but the most paltry things. MAGA has pulled the Overton Window even further to the right, making that alliance more tenuous recently, but there are still a lot of liberals in Congress right now trying to have brunch instead of tearing down everything they can to stop Trump.
