What we had has gone away.
What we had has gone away.
because otherwise you’re gonna be waiting for like 10 minutes
that’s fair enough, you know? cars are whatever, it’s all the infrastructure built for cars that really makes the cars a problem. parking is just one very large aspect of that infrastructure.
“the cat pics community is posting too many cat pics >:(” lol
So what team does she ride for? Lidl-Trek need a big engine, what with van Dijk on maternity leave and all.
oh smh i can’t even begin to count how many times i was caught, stood against a wall, and executed by firing squad by a posse of lifted f150s when i first started biking to get around. fortunately i’ve learned how to evade them: turns out they have shite turning radius and are terrible offroad
Who are you gonna believe?? Me, or every climatologist in the world??
well idk about you but my balls were really wet over the weekend and not because i spent it with my girlfriend
i don’t think this was intended as an entirely serious complaint.
personally i’m very impressed with how well it’s still running right now despite the influx
I’m going to leave mine up as a sort of testament to eleven years of my life. My last comment is, and will continue to be unless something drastic changes, some argument I was having with somebody about how to fix housing shortages, like the one in California.
17 days ago as of now. Weird feeling.
“Hmph, yes. I will tolerate this. For now.”
I had a cat who refused to leave my side for a week after I got my wisdom teeth out.
i’m glad you agree on car dependency being bad. the problem is that you were arguing for cars being useful for some people for some small reasons as if you were responding to an argument that we should ban all cars everywhere all the time. so if you don’t mind, i’d like to walk you through why your comment went… unappreciated here, despite no ill intention on your part.
that’s not what the post was arguing
that’s not what anybody in fuckcars argues
basically everbody in fuckcars, including me, will agree with the statement that cars have legitimate use cases, so arguing it as if you will meet any pushback is sus
arguing that point based on temperature control and music on speakers implies that the objections people of fuckcars have to car dependency are similarly centered around one’s own immediate personal comfort, rather than long-term societal health which directly and indirectly benefits everybody in that society, even those who can’t afford a car with working speakers or a/c in our current version of society
these sorts of implications are very commonly done intentionally by people arguing disingenuously, many of whom i’ve run into on either this forum or the reddit precursor
do ya see where i’m coming from now?
i enjoy when people bring this up as if to imply that that’s a good reason to keep building american car-centric suburbia
hey, i didn’t know adam something was on lemmy
i mean, it’s probably entirely because of that wordplay aspect
I did read that that was actually a coincidence, and they already knew he was in the country. But reality is often stranger than fiction, so who knows.
Even calling it a news update isn’t really accurate. It’s more akin to “water is wet.”
