I read so many of his book thinking “at some point I’ll land on one that’ll make me understand what all the fuss is about”. Never happened. As you said, the guy has great concept ideas, but he doesn’t know how to build on them. So many endings are so stupid and far fetched it would be comical if it were a Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure episode…
I have a slight hearing loss. If I play a movie with a sound designed for 5.1 on stereo, I will really have a hard time understanding the dialogue. If I switch to 2.0 (if available), I can hear almost everything perfectly.

For the record, some of us also use the word “patate” which is straight up the equivalent of potato.
24·1 year agoYeah I am pretty sure this is the intention of the writers. Showing yourself naked to your subordinate is not “homoerotism”, it’s harassment.
SPOILER ALERT Not that big of a twist (let’s say not the 6th sense kind), but the trailer showed the part at the end where the antagonist has his big transformation. And it was half the trailer. The whole movie slowly builds up to that moment, I thought it was a poor choice to show it. It made it look like half the movie was that when it is only the culmination of everything that happened before.
I saw a version of the trailer for Split (2016) that revealed the plot twist. I was glad I already saw the movie, but my parents did not watch it because of that.
The name of the band can be offputting, but they are a really good punk band : Viagra Boys. They have a song called “The Cognitive Trade-Off Hypothesis” which is my favourite from them. The subject is straight up how ADD is maybe a result of our evolution. Really funny lyrics as well.
Edit : just saw someone else suggested another Viagra Boys song, I guess it may be a recurring subject with this band lol
I mean they were nominated four times at the grammy’s of which they won one, can’t get more recognized by the mainstream than that…
So many artists, but as a huge metalhead here are two who IMO deserve way more light.
