It won’t be because this isn’t about Hamas just like Iraq wasn’t about 9/11.

Kind of a big deal for her to talk this way. She may in fact not be scared of Netanyahu and AIPAC. Will be interesting to see what she does in her second term, when she has nothing to lose.

Can we please stop judging politicians by their virtue signaling and look at their actions?

Also “not be scared of Netanyahu and AIPAC” is contradictory to “what she does in her second term, when she has nothing to lose.”

Either she isn’t scared and can do something now, or she is scared but wants to do something else, postponing it, or indeed she just agrees with what is done.

Also Biden is not up for reelection. Still what he does and doesn’t do speaks enough volumes to rebuild Gaza from those books.

Maybe you just don’t understand world politics? Things can’t “just be done”. Sorry. That’s naive.

It is always possible to stop allowing shipments of weapons. It is always possible to stop sending more money. It is always possible to stop vetoing UN security council resolutions. It is always possible to not make public statements of support.

Stopping your own actions is always possible. It may have ramifications, but the US full well knows, that it is the only reason Israel is not facing justice at the ICC and is made to stop the genocide. The US full well knows that all of its allies would follow suit, if it stopped supporting Israel. Many of their allies would prefer to do so, but are intimidated by the US threats.

The US would win a lot globally by stopping Israel and upholding a rule based international order for once. And the Democrats would win in a landslide on it, but they choose not to.

This statement may have actually beaten Biden’s record of his red line comment only lasting a week considering it’s only been 24 hours and there’s a potential leak of Israel’s attack plan on Iran, with assistance by yours truly USCC.

The goal of Israel is to expand the lebensraum. Sinwar was a convenient excuse. Israel is sad the excuse is gone. They will make up a new excuse.

Hey look, they’ve transitioned from, “why won’t she just say something?” to “I don’t believe her when she says it”

Saying it’s a turning point with no clear indication on where it should turn to is not an effective message from a political leader.

As someone who read the article, she did say it’s a turning point with no clear indication on where it should turn to. I mean she said “we should end the war” but yeah how the fuck do you intend to do that? She says nothing other than “diplomacy”, which is a dog whistle for “allowing Israel to do whatever it wants”. I mean what the fuck is this?

“I continue to believe diplomacy is the answer to bringing lasting stability across the Israel-Lebanon border and as vice president — and with your help as president — I will do everything in my power to achieve these goals,”

Edit: On a closer look is it me or is she not mentioning Gaza in that proposed diplomacy of hers? She’s only bringing up the Israeli-Lebanon border. If I’m reading this right, this is very damning and more or less confirms she has no intention of actually doing anything about Gaza.

“Everyone must seize this opportunity to finally end the war in Gaza, bring the hostages home, and end the suffering once and for all.”

The rest of her statement. Which is in the article.

Yes, but how? This isn’t anything Biden hasn’t been saying for the past year, and we’ve seen nothing but escalation after escalation with absolutely no consequences. There comes a point when these words become meaningless.
