This hits so close to home. Nobody believes my mom abused me because she’s so charismatic and does great deeds for other people. She blames her years of unknown epilepsy. I don’t. I’m trying to make the best of our relationship now that she knows she can’t do anything to me anymore. I have my own place. If she starts shit while I’m visiting, I can just leave.
