Netanyahu and the Hamas terrorists he literally funded are all far right extremists who are fomenting war for political aims. That he is pleased to smear his detractors with the brush of antisemitism is neither surprising nor confusing.

If you’ve paid any attention whatsoever to the Netanyahu government, all of this was predictable to the point of inevitability. Spew far-right nonsense and genocidal rhetoric, maintain an open-air concentration camp as you consistently chip away at the Palestinian population and land, back Hamas over the relatively secular, moderate PLO, let encourage them kill your own population and wait for a pretext to stomp on the accelerator toward genocide.

Opposition to a genocide has no inherent tie to race or religion - to call that opposition antisemitic is to make that genocide an inherent trait of semitism - that’s antisemitic. Similarly, what would we call funding a group that will kill as many Israelis as it can over more peaceful opposition? Antisemitic.

Netanyahu is the worst kind of scum.

If you knew how big of an overlap between Zionism and Antisemitism there is…

“The answer to the Jewish question is Israel” - wrote a Hungarian far-right blog around 2008-2009. It was an unpopular opinion back then, as Jobbik was a literal Islamophile party, because killing LGBT people and death penalty to robbers, but nowadays it’s a popular sentiment among fascist pretending to be “moderates” by calling themselves “conservatives”. Even Jobbik isn’t that radical anymore, especially compared to both Fidesz (which stole their racist and homophobic ideas, but watered them down) and Mi Hazánk (formed by ex-Jobbik members, has suspicious ties to Fidesz).

Sounds like a branch of ethno pluralism. The word looks fancy but it’s just a euphemism for “go back where you come from” – “I’m born here” – “No, where you really come from”.

Ethno pluralists will most certainly claim that all Jews come from Israel and it’s an empty land (to just ignore the question where Palestinians supposedly come from).

Just to make sure I’m not misunderstood: this concept is bullsh*t. The nation state is a relatively new concept and before, there were no borders and people(s) just moved around all the time. Not each and everyone but it was easy to find a new home somewhere. There is no heritage

Because none of this is the fault of the civilians of either Israel or Palestine.

Over 70% of Israelis want the fascist government of Netanyahu gone and the majority of Palestinians suffering under Hamas weren’t born when they were elected on a platform of pretending to be moderate 17 years ago.

Then say that. There’s a lot of idiots who genuinely think either all Israelis or all Palestinians are monsters, or at least act like it.

I said “fuck them all to death” which is obviously a south park reference so I guess that would explain my real position.

            Also: I just did.

Not an obvious reference for those of us who haven’t been watching South Park for the last several years 🤷
