President Donald Trump on Wednesday said, “I love the inflation” after being asked if he was concerned about new consumer price index data that showed the annual inflation rate at 4.2%, a three-year high.

Give it until tomorrow before someone on his team has to either translate what Trump meant, or explain that Trump was “just kidding”.

Of course they say that inflation under Biden was the apocalypse or Biden was either in his bunker and Jill was pulling the strings. Now, there is one post on a certain sub as if this was just another day, yet a dozen separate posts about Carmello.

This guy is a joke. He was never in it for you. Somehow 30% of Americans believe he is the savior. Ask Lindsay Graham.

His intended audience is Iran. He’s terrified of being made to look weak or get a worse deal than Obama. And he’s aware that time is on their side. Look at his comments about escalating the conflict: Iran is “taking too long to come to a deal”. He’s obsessed with getting a deal quick, but also not giving in.

He’s in a loose/loose position and former presidents in this situation are responsible for the Vietnam war.

Why does he always use the definite articles where nobody else would? Is it a symptom of the dementia? Or is he just stupid?

He’s dumb as shit so probably doesn’t understand the question fully.

Let’s hear how the MAGAt morons twist this around… Probably gonna say oh he meant toward the Democrats but not us, his loyal mushroom-fluffers.

The way he answered the question, translated to English from dipshit, sounded to me like he was trying to say he likes where the number is and thinks it’s healthy for the economy; ie, downplaying fears.

The actual response just comes off as completely out of touch though, which he is. It’s also something no sane politician would dream of saying under any circumstances.

I too am looking forward to the ensuing mental gymnastics by the sycophants and pundits to try and spin this one. Frankly I don’t think it matters - Israel isn’t letting him pull out of the war, and staying in it will absolutely wreck the economy. I predict that once that pain extends to the oligarchs in any meaningful way, Trump will perish under mysterious circumstances explained away by old age and bad health. Then Vance can begin his run in earnest by trying to pump the brakes on Israeli colonization and land theft. Good luck to him I guess, he’s gonna need it.

No shit he loves inflation. It got him elected didn’t it? Now he doesn’t have to pretend to care anymore because it does not affect his bribes or anything he actually cares about. Like the deficit, Gaza, military interventions, or war crimes, he has no need to care about anyone’s opinion unless they have his ear and a big check for him.

Of course he does. Inflation hurts working people and benefits the wealthy:

Forbes: Inflation is an insidious “hidden tax,” as it directly impacts the purchasing power of families in the United States. However, the burden is unevenly distributed across the different income and wealth strata. In fact, the upper middle class and the top 1% of Americans have actually benefited from high inflationary periods, increasing their wealth, while lower-wage families have been negatively impacted, according to a working paper by economist Edward Nathan Wolff for the National Bureau of Economic Research.

It is amazing that magats still worship this guy.

Time to start printing stickers, with “I did that” and “I love the inflation” and putting them EVERYWHERE.
